maybe if you buy a gen ETA 2824 and just slap the dial and hands on it the dw will be better? thats teh good thing about this dj is you can swap to gen eta easy.

what is the difference between 2824 and 2836 except the length of the pinion? I thought it was very similar

2836 has the function of changing the date instantly at midnight. 2824 doesn’t have that instant date change function.

Not only that but the time setting position is per gen (3235) with 2836. Which is the opposite of 3135

I did not know for the date change at midnight on the 2824.

I have a poweratic 80 (from tissot) that i put in a sub-c (with h4 pignon), the date change is done instantly at midnight and the change of time is opposite vs 3135 so in the same as a 3235.

I thought the powermatic is a base identical to the 2824

Got the email from puretime earlier today, disappointing to say the least.

I may opt for the 36mm and change the DW on that instead.

Any experts know if it is possible to install a Gen DW on this or would the movement need to be changed aswell?
