i just rejected this QC. its the second one i reject im pretty unhappy with that insert. look how badly misaligned it is
30, 40, 50 is really close to the inner edge and 10 and the lines are very far to the outer edge
i dont want to say which TD because im sure i will get a good one soon but it seems to me ARF is messing up big time with this and they are getting sloppy with all the orders

I was told by my TD that the ARF LN version is available in two weeks only and asked to change to the LV version of it. I'll probably get back to the LN when a new edition (aka "smoke" edition) becomes available eventually.

Smoke wrote in this thread in July that he had not heard from them in months, so don't wait too long lol :)

why do you want a watch with an unstable movement? all smoke's updates arf performs with the eta version. if it is your hobby is waiting. Enjoy it
Thats not true all the updates comes with the other movement thats why they delayed the release.

Hi LaPavel,

I just can't wait two more weeks to get my hands on this beautiful ARF Submariner, so I opted to change to the LV from my LN-order which has the same rock-solid A2428 movement - unless there is a specific detail/news that I missed. Indeed I'd even appreciate if the replicas stay available with "simpler" / more solid movements, especially in a watch where you have a steel caseback and can't see it.

I actually chose the ARF for the "more solid" movement (over NOOB with SA3135 and a lot of reading), although from a technical aspect the SA/SH3135 might be more interesting. I can't dream of magically acquiring the necessary watchsmith skills though, even though I'd be interested to learn this as a hobby. I'd eventually break everything I touch. :(

I was more referring to "general improvements" being made to a watch that we could call "smoke edition", not that I meant to get something with an unstable movement.

i think at the moment they should focus on more important issues on the current watches like the bezel insert number misalignement that is very visible and important as is an instant tell

So I just received my QC pics - is it me or does the DW look overly large? How about the bezel?

Nothing wrong with the bezel, but yeah the DW looks large. Could be the gasket which makes the crystal sit too high, or could be the crystal itself.
