Oh one more thing. If you want a watch too grow with you, then the noob is better in 3135 form. You can built it too a all rolex minus case like I have. Put a real dial, real crystal band bezel and real band and real movement and hands and so on where the ARF you are stuck with an ETA rep or a real eta with a date wheel layover. But out of the box the noob is very detectible. The insert is still too white the date is extremely the wrong size because of the crystal and gasket they used. I love the feel of the noob better. But looks wise. ARF all the way.

I have a V9 3135 on the way, prof crystal in my possession and getting the insert modded (will do Molotow mod just for now because I want to use the watch this summer)

I think with those mods alone, it will be better than the ARF. I might be wrong, but I had the ARF and it was just lacking something so I sold it, figuring I would just mod up a V9 as I know the fit and finish are better with noob. Nothing to knock the ARF, it is a great piece but I will wait for the ARF 3135 before moving out of the v9. I love ARF, but I think the current 2824 is not THE ONE for me.

Edit: I do not get your comments about the clasp, on the v9 thread everyone is saying the V9 clasp is better. How bad could the polishing be? I do not think that is the biggest deal, bracelet itself is another story as we know the SEL on the ARF is unreal.

Just look at my pics. Read my review. People talk a lot. I own a real 116610LV and I have a real band on my 116610LN. The clasp feels better on the Noob but looks nothing like Rolex as far as finish.

It is like they took a high polisher and made a mirror effect. Let me pull the pic too show you. Or at least give you an idea.

Bottom is real......Top is noob V9. if you look the engraving has a tan color. Every sub from the polished look to the rough look has the tan color. Well Noob polished the crap out of it and the engraving gives it away. On Daytona Rolex uses this look, On GMT and Subs. Nope.

If you want a watch where out of the box you want too wear it and it looks real too the eye, grab the ARF 116610LN.

If you want a watch too grow with you where you can keep upgrading then grab the noob V9 3135 and spend away.

Me personally I like the Noob V9 because I have a noob V6S that is all rolex minus the case and I am going too flip it all too the V9.

I would have too agree with you. Me and Paul were saying that Rolex is cutting cost on QC. We are the only idiots that care. Rolex can take a crap and people would love it and say wait, rolex corn is bigger in the crap and the peanuts are misshaped! LOL. Its a $500 rep of a $10,000 watch that no one can find in a Rolex dealer. I think they are amazing. What a long way we have come in a few years.

Iam sorry but first they replace the double engraved rehaut with a single laser one then the magnification have a blue hue which is now "not a problem" if you ask Rolex because its in the "tolerances" and now they use clasps which has not even a straight print/engraving.

If you didnt write it i would thought its a 20 dollar canal street rep clasp.

Yes they seem too be going that way. Really I was just talking about that. Especially the new rehaut engraving. Looks just like a rep! WTF. The blue hue on the crystals have been there for a while. When pressed correctly you cant see it. But their QC is not what it use too be. At ALL.

How do you figure the ARF is that much better than a V9? Maybe the coloring on the LV, but watch dimensions and other details the ARF is not as good as the v9

OTB the ARF is much better. The v9 case is the right size and has some good parts but the basics (insert/sels) noob got it wrong. Its not huge but ARF is better.

Unless you are going to measure the Arf case next to gen you cant tell the size. One big difference is the cg and crown tho.

There are pro’s and cons to both. Just my opinion

Yeah mate. I can definitely see the problem with the pictures, thankfully there is a simple fix. If you're using MacOS, and a tool like photoshop; CMD+Z should be able to reverse the red and yellow lines. On a windows machine, CTRL+Z should work. However if for some reason the editing history is not present, then you may need to use photoshop clone tool; the patch tool is good too... Honestly I wouldn't bother, just take an other picture of your watch in the same lighting conditions and you should be golden. Just remember to use layers next time so if you end up with red lines again, you can simply delete the upper layer to return the image back to it's original state

Your dial is not aligned too the rehaut brother. Look for a new dial. I would go with real!

Thank you for this answer! Really good explained, i think my first rep will be a ready to wear out of the box. And probably will buy a V10 when it is out to do some modifications.

Rehaut about the same on both. Noob i thought is better more gen as its “double” engraved. However i have been informed rolex change from single to double and this is also close to gen. so either or really.

Nah they changed from double to single laser without engraving at all. At the moment i would say that the production of a submariner is below 500 USD for Rolex. Its just insane how they cut the costs.

Very nice side by side comparison dom, thanks.

I remain disappointed in both inserts. The gen has a magical color that no one has succeeded in duplicating. ARF insert has the left side marker placement issue, Noob needs a PPM. Both sad on a $500 rep.

Gen insert is unmistakable, and easily spotted by someone who knows IMO.

The dial is also a tell, as the gen sunburst is much wider and more subtle.

Both the ARF and Noob are fine reps to be sure, but we are not near super rep with either yet. We have gotten closer though and there's more to come for sure.
