Feel free to laugh as you're paying that high taxes in Cali and Big Brother is taking away rights little by little.

Big Brother is taking away what you perceive as rights. Others don't think that these are your rights. Somehow a lot of people in California manage to be happy without AR-15s, if thats what you are referring to.

Some people don't care about paying high taxes if it allows them to live in a better place.

Funny how DC's far right is all about state's rights until a state decides to go in a direction that they don't like. Cracks me up.

Bro, you definitely have no idea...

When it comes to firearms, West Hollywood packs plenty of heat. As the national debate over firearms regulation rages on, WEHOville decided to look at how many guns are in our own backyard and in neighboring and other politically progressive LA County cities such as Beverly Hills and Santa Monica.
Data from the state Firearms Bureau shows 2,581 handguns and long rifles have been registered in West Hollywood, a city with 24,599 households. Assaults rifles and handguns, such as the Bushmaster AR-15 rifle used in the Newtown, Conn., elementary school massacre, are few and far between, accounting for only four of those registered.
West Hollywood is greatly outgunned by neighboring Beverly Hills, whose 16,394 households harbor 272 assault weapons and 7,174 other firearms. And then there’s Santa Monica, referred to as the “People’s Republic of Santa Monica,†for its progressive politics and citizens, where 466 assault weapons and 11,917 other guns have been registered. According to 2010 U.S Census figures, Santa Monica has 50,912 households. For those who aren’t fans of guns, the county’s westside has a clear advantage over places like Compton, a city of 25,523 households where a total of 16,199 weapons have been registered, 469 of them assault weapons.
In LA County as a whole, the bureau reports 1.38 million weapons registered, with 48,195 of them designated as assault weapons.

Tea Party wants USA to be an Isolationist country.

Tea Party is destroying America.

As long as we elect Tea Party politicians to offices in Washington DC, America's foreign policy will suffer the consequences of tea party isolationist agenda.

I disagree.

You are way beyond hope. I wouldn't even bother going point by point to that idiocy. But people like you really scare me. When I think they allow you to vote it sends shivers up my spine.

People that still support obama send shivers up my spine!

“Elections are designed primarily to convince the masses that the government is legitimate.â€

Just like religion, politics is a way of controlling people. The democratic republic version is no different. Do you believe that if there was no religion there would be no war or suffering?

Elites not masses govern all societies. All societies are governed by the ruling class elites.

Elitism implies that public policy does not reflect demands of the people so much as it reflect the interests and values of Elites.

“Changes and innovation in public policy come about when elites redefine their own values.â€

Right on the mark!

I don't see why the US has to get involved in Syria. It's a civil matter between the Sunni and Shia. Assad clearly hates American and the Rebels are Al Qaeda. Anyone here actually believe that you can win the heart and mind of Syrians? Don't believe for a second that it's just an air strike. There will be foot soldiers in Syria eventually.

Anyone here wants to supports the rebels?

The world is a better place now that this is on the Intertubes for all to see.

Regardless of how you feel about Snowden, people like him who have the balls to reveal what the government is really doing are an important part of holding our gov't accountable- the sad thing is they'll deny it, or find a way to prevent Americans from learning more.

Texas is awesome when it comes to gun rights, let alone the right to protect others...

I have no faith in gov't.... I do have faith in the weapons I have to protect myself, family and home.

Its still hard for me to understand as to why people hide behind their guns instead of enjoying their lives. There is a 0% chance that you can defend yourself against the government anyways, so if anything were to happen, you'd be screwed anyways.

The belief that buying more guns for yourself will help protect you makes me laugh honestly.

No, I'm saying that its ridiculous to live in fear of the government and hold the belief that you can protect yourself or overthrow a government, because even with all of your Bushmasters and whatever the **** fancy guns you have, if the government went after you, you'd be crushed. The government will always be better armed and better trained.

Honestly whenever I see these people pulling that BS tyrannical government argument, I remember the Confederates, which ironically also remind me of today's Tea Party. A lot of common characteristics. Racist morons, check. Poor people fighting for a rich person's cause, check. Hanging onto dying ideology, check. Try to promote their cause by using words like freedom and liberty, check.

Hell, if you go down South, you can still see some Confederate flags hanging.

I have a couple of guns for hunting, the only logical reason any American should own a gun. An accidental killing of the gun owner or a family member is 10X more likely than a gun being used in self defense.

AR-15's are now the latest yuppy status symbol for a bunch of numb nuts that don't even know how to fire them, let alone have the common sense to own one.
