Here's the 41.5mm AT on my 7" wrist in various angles including a mirror shot.
It would seem my 7" wrist fits nicely both the 38 and 41 case. At first I thought the 41 was too big for me. But while getting the blue one last week, I tried on both and I felt that after a long consideration, the 41mm was just right. Any bigger than that would be ridiculous for my wrist imo. Comfortable with both sizes apparently. The 41 would be perfect with casual attire which I'm in 90% of the time. I still have the 38mm quartz as an option. If I refer to a previous post, you still prefer to wear the 38mm version right?
BTW your first pic is awesome... the sunburst of this shot is very nice.
I favour the 2824 movement of the 38.5 AT's over the noisy and non-hackable Miyota 8215. Recently I've ordered an Omega AT and I expect it to arrive very soonely. I'll shoot some pics when it's here.
Waiting with eager! Congrats on your purchase!I'm with vanwolff for his argument... so he convince me and I just pull the trigger on a blue midsize. I want to testdrive the midsize .. maybe I'll not love it, but if it's not for me, I'll resale it here for another member so another member who want to test it too will have a chance, or, maybe I'll fall in love with it, or, I'll want to buy the gen (I hope not, cuz my pocket will suffer), who knows!!!
I promise to give my feedback & photos....I know, we love photos here ;-)
Cool, thanks for sharing! Would you be so kind to share photos of it's back?So here we go...
My first impression was the nice blue sunburst under light. The blue vary depend if it's under artificial light or a natural light (see bellow).
This watch is very very difficult to shoot, sorry to blurry photo due to the crappy iphone5 camera, I miss my Nikon DSLR camera/lens, I can told you that.
Overall, it's a very nice rep, dressy/sporty look, an all in one watch. You need to see it in real to appreciate how dial/indices/hands catch light.
The first 3 photos were taken in my bathroom with LED light spot, other, in natural light. Do an average of both and that is the real life color of it.
About the size, I'm very happy that I choose the mid-size, and I realize now that my best watch size fit is more near 38-40mm instead of 41-43mm, even if I prefer the look of a bigger watch, on me, you need to be pragmatic and stay rational. The balance on my wrist is better with smaller size watch.
You must adjust the bracelet very carefully, play with half link, some more links on the 12 wrist side than the 6 wrist side, etc. so be patient, screw are very thin an easy to strip, get good screwdriver.
So for those of you who has a 6 to 6.5 inch wrist, and still hesitate witch one to take, don't hesitate, the safest option and to get the best balance fitting in the wrist will be the mid-size. And don't worry, this dial has a very good punch and sense of presence.
Last photos are similar shot of my previous post with my speedmaster to be able to compare both of them. Evidence that a midsize is a better fit on a slim forearm.

Mark XVIII is not a greatest rep of Mark series. It will be in the future, probably. You should better consider Mark XVI, pretty the same thing, 39mm.
If you want to know my opinion:
1. Mark XVI rep
2. Sinn 556i
3. AT rep
4. SARB
Aqua Terra seems really cool if you want to have just one watch.
As for rep – to get or not to get depends on how ready you are to take some obvious flaws (like the movement).
SARB is the same as AT, a little bit more simple. (A lot of people have them nowadays, I've seen like 3 of them in a wild).
Not a fan of Sinn, though. Their simplicity seems forced to me, if you understand what I mean
Mark XVI is the best, imo. The rep of it is one of the best reps out there, probably a super rep (if they do exist).
You can install gen dial on it, and it will be as good as gen, literally.
I think you will be happy with whatever you'll choose.
Do yourself a favour and buy Mark XVI before they goneAfter acquired the AT, watch itching come back again ... now, the XVI is on my list too, you should never put this on the top of the list ;-)
The IWC 39mm Son (Father&Son) version impress me, but I'm worrying about the diamond crown protuberance. The classic Mark XVI black is a killer timeless piece, tough, I fall in love this week-end with the IWC Pilot 36mm gray dial, but after searching, there's no 36mm rep version at this time, a too recent model... Agrrr...

It's such an impressive rep, I was blown away when I saw it in the flesh.
I haven't got a chance to see the gen in the flesh. However, I have seen gen Portofino and one of the big pilots, and I must say it's pretty darn close (at least to my unprofessional eye).Out of the box, how do you qualify the AR coating, is it near the genuine or need to be coated by prof ?
Anyone know if the Omega Aqua Terra
Seamaster with Striped Textured Blue Dial has a sunburst effect ?

Classic. Does it feel heavy? Here's the 41.5mm AT on my 7" wrist in various angles including a mirror shot.
It's somewhere in between. Just about right imo. Nowhere near as heavy as the 8500 Planet Ocean.Classic. Does it feel heavy?
