It's been a long time since last time we post about RM products
Here I have a very exciting news about APSF: they are releasing new RM-055 now with the new best Dandong super clone movement!

Seems like a great first step for APSF entering the RM scene but need so much improvement! Movement looks very promising.

I guess this will be the case - remember all the daytona prices falling down 200bucks when VS was releasing too

Yep this is definitely the same movement as ZF. The only difference I can see is they have attempted to apply a brushed effect to the ribs, but when zooming in it appears they are made of the same material as the ribs on the ZF

Would be good if to see the NTPT in different lighting conditions, can't really tell if it is an improvement

All they need to do is sell the watch at 15% less than ZF and they'll be able to compete.

Looks frosted instead of brushed as well.
This may be a good sign, could it be that APSF bought remaining stock of the movement, and ZF is waiting for the revision?

There seems to be a lot of demand for RMs in China. Whereas here in M2M the RMs don't sell very fast. I'd really like to try one, but that's stopping me.

Bbr v3is your best bet! Second hand BBR can go below 500 even 400 usd. I think it's the best option for us non RM fanatics. It's not exactly 1:1 but the wrist feel/aesthetic is basically the same.

Don't even wast money to ZF, because of pint ribs. And the movement is not accurate too...

If I recall correctly, ZF and APSF are related factories. It seems very common for both ZF and APSF to release very reps of the exact same model but with minute differences e.g. the JLC MUT where the only differences are movement engraving vs. silk screening and the dial style. It makes sense that if ZF got the DD RMUL2 that APSF was going to get it. And this is a good thing, hopefully this will sell for a lower price and offer some improvements over the ZF version.
