Hey, I had the same fears as you had when I bought my first AP (which was a 15400 from sead) and I now own it over a year and the gold is still in perfect condition. I think the wearing off is just the case with cheaper reps. Mine was one from JF.
Two years now and like new

Theres not even a single scratch, how often do you wear this? Once a year? I tried to be as careful as I can wearing my 15400 but I cant seem to keep it as pristine as yours.
It's not my daily, in fact I don't have a daily cause I have so many watches and keep them all in rotation. In fact it's still in pristine condition, as all of the others I have. I gues it's because I don't wear them too often and I tend to baby all of them, LOL.

RG Plating on the bezel is good but has faded on both my 15400 TT crown and 15450 crown.
All rg have fully plated links, every surface. And how about the gold plating on the small connecting mid-links of the bracelets? Some reports here saying they are not plated at all and this is visible...

Do you think it oxidase and RG became slightly lighter in color?
Not at all
I have a lot of RG and YG watches and all of them are like new.
Even 2 hublots RG since 2011 and still like new.
Go for it and you will not regret

Who wears a gold watch everyday? If you wear yours once a month like I do - it will outlast you I promise.
Brilliant thanks for the advice guys.
Now just to decide Silver dial or blue dial???
