Hi Guys...

I'm considering a 15400 JF Rose Gold with Blue Dial.

I know many times it has been said that the Rose Gold and Gold Reps are not as good due to the plating and potential wear issues.

However I am after some advice as to what I can expect for wear of the Rose Gold versions.

Are we talking discolouration and wearing off of the plating after a few months or is this something that could take years?

At £300 if I could get a year or two out of the watch before it started to wear then I would be happy with this....

However if it deteriorates after only a few months then it's a no go.

Has anyone owned one of these who can give me accurate advice??

Thanks in Advance

It will last more than 1-2 years. Not an issue. The JF rosegold is quite durable.

Most rep claimed to be gold plated are not actual gold. They look like gold but they are titanium nitrid coated
It's cheap and very durable for daily wears unless you choose to abuse the watch
The down side is the colour. Not as bright/shiny as real gold

I think the silver dial is the closest to gen and looks the best, in my opinion, but if I had it my way, I'd have SS black dial, SS white dial, and RG blue dial

I think that you may have just made up my mind to get an RG JF 15400 right here! That is exactly what I needed to boost my confidence in their RG. Looks absolutely stunning after 2 years; WOW!

The gold plating on reps these days are pretty damn good. No issues with fading and stuff really anymore.

Honestly don't do it . The gold WILL fade.
