old model of a quartz, but to show that the quartz has only name text on dial
I actually was seconds away from buying this dial on eBay, but passed. Still regret it. I posted in your homage thread that the 15202 rep is not built like the 15400, but it looks great. Had mine for 7 months and it´s beautiful.Yes, ofcourse Audemars would not put the word "automatic" on their Quartz watches.
However, my understanding is that all gen AP Quartz models are less than 39mm.
However, I would have to research further to confirm.
I've ordered this watch and plan on giving it the vintage look and rocking it as a Quartz AP.
It´s not fit for franken. It has a pop on/off bezel, not protruding screwsDoes anyone know what the bezel and case construction is like for this model?
I'm trying to see if this watch could be base for a franken watch with gen 2121 movement. If its got a decent rubber gasket and holder construction like 15400 and 15300 then it'd be perfect for a build. I wouldn't mind adding a sapphire caseback...
So no automatic sign on these which I presume are gen... that's one of the things that stopped me going further with this... will dig a little deeperbeautiful.
Ignore me I'm blind I see it now. Ha!So no automatic sign on these which I presume are gen... that's one of the things that stopped me going further with this... will dig a little deeper
Question; how are the screws fixed within the pop on/off bezel? Is it glue? It´s not fit for franken. It has a pop on/off bezel, not protruding screws
Dunno. Your guess is (almost) as good as mineQuestion; how are the screws fixed within the pop on/off bezel? Is it glue?

Here are some pics of the rep from a German dealer:

I don´t think so. If I was to guess, the dial looks extremely similar to the tourbillon, so I actually think that this dial is the same without the cut out. Maybe they´ve sort of thrown this together with parts available.Does by any chance factory will update the dial on a new batch adding the missing "automatic" or not ?.
