That is a super sweet RBII right there. You guys really do love these AP's hey. I'm hoping in the future to get an RBII. I'm sure that I'll just live with it at first in the 'out of the box' condition, but no doubt with get the itch to franken. Sharrkey, if you don't mind my asking, what do you think you've spent in total on that piece to get it to this amazing condition?
I've not sat down and worked it out yet bud, and don't think I want to factoring in the OEM strap also, but it's worth every Pennie I've spent on it and very thankful that we have such a skilled watchmaker that Domi is.

Well that itself just sounds expensive! Maybe one day a piece like that will be mine. Domi, that is pretty incredible work. You are a modding Genie.
Has this piece been a long time in the making? Months? Years? The LWO283 alone (assuming thats teh movement here) must have been hard to come by? Did you buy a whole watch to get it or did you manage to find just a movement? Either way, I must say a big congrats on such a beautiful piece. Wear it very well sir.

It started off by getting the movement serviced Ar crystal and the faceplate mod, then back again to get the movement replaced with new Lwo movement and Ti plated reps screws, it's last and final trip was to have the cdg finish applied and plated on the lwo faceplate!
I fitted Mikes Ti bezel screws today
It's was a new movement fitted so no need to source a full watch to take out of! It's taken over 5 months back and forth, each time coming back even further improved, just need a OEM Ti deployant and I'm done.

What did you make of the 'out of the box rep', before all the modding? Was it good quality? The kind of quality that these new 44s seem to be or just average? I guess I'd like to know (before I start down a financial road that never ends, lol) is it a piece to buy only to begin a franken project or is it okay in standard rep form?

Out of the box is fantastic, even the rep strap is good quality!
You can buy and if you like
then decide if you want to just get the movement serviced with jewel mod and faceplate mod, starts getting expensive when you start factoring in lwo, lwo service, and the work required by Domi to make a customs movement holder( I believe takes 1 day alone to make) then the custom fitting of the hands onto the lwo movement.
