I hope they also fix the red crown insert. To me this is a huge giveaway as the red color of the insert draws attention to itself.
Specifically, the gen Schumi has an etched 'AP' logo on the red crown, while the J12 rep has a flat printed logo.

No one will notice that trust me.

+1. When I check out an ROO on the wrist of another guy, 99% of the time I look at the dial.
If you ask me if the case or crown is accurate, I would not know, even though I own gen ROOs myself

Are you serious that no one has ever noticed that the tachy ring misalignement is an issue with MANY AP reps for ages? Only now has this flaw been noticed?!?! I think we inadvertently taught the chinese not to worry about tachy ring misalignement, and now all of a sudden everybody is rejecting their watches because of this issue!!

don't get me wrong. I agree the tachy misalignement is enough reason to refuse this 800USD watch. I am just saying that it surprises me that no one ever mentioned this flaw with their older reps!

But I dare to go further: this is not a simple misalignement issue. Unfortunately, based on my experience with the older reps, the tachy ring is printed wrongly. No matter what one does to realign the tachy ring, its text won't ever match the dial markers perfectly around the whole dial. And older AP's need some filing on the tachy ring base to allow for repositioning, thus this is not a basic-level mod.

We actually did reject many divers based on their Tachy misalignment... not sure about the other roo though...

Like Doc Theo mentioned the dial color might be a touch darker then Gen, but overall that is not really a deal breaker imo. For me the DW is the real issue on this batch, I trust it will be fixed onj the following versions or maybe with noob if they like to go ahead with this one...

Maybe if they can make the dw cutout smaller, square and thinner rings. It can give the impression of larger dw font that fills the cutout and it will give more space between the dial and tachy to allow some white pin prints. Win win. Dreaming lol.

For adjusting the datewheel they need to cut the square a little bit bigger, change the font and add a better/stronger datemag ... thats it. The date in the gen appears bigger due to the deeper date we see as the movement has the date in a different level.
Anyway, if there is a gen at the factory they used for copying, I ask myself WHY are there so many little flaws?
Answer: there is not 1 factory for the watch, but several smaller factories and supplieres for movement, datewheel, crystal, date-mag, screws, rubber strap,.... and some of them just think Schumi ROO datewheel = any other ROO white datewheel = print it red! But it´s not that simple.
