You guys are so picky and anal about the lug fitment.

Which is why I just had my inserts completely redeveloped. I had my CAD guy focus on lug fitment, specifically the two channels that the lugs mate with. I also increased the resolution and strength of the material they are made from. These are my final production prototypes here. I'm good to go!

Good luck sorting your problems with AP dicks.

Do you guys think it would be in bad taste for me to post our email conversation?

I think many people would be reluctant dealing with them if they read this story.

Digging the sound of your work d4. I need a strap maker that can convince me there is a wearable aftermarket solution before I start shelling out entirely too much money on OEM hardware.

this looks like shit. Something wrong. I have 2 APbands straps for ROOs and they fit perfect.
Guys just be carefull, Diver endlinks are not the same as ROO endlinks. There is a small difference, I cannot mount my hornbacks with ROO endlinks on the diver.

^^^ THIS !!!

I learned the hard way. Ruined a case. They do not interchange.

Thanks guys. I would have made this mistake had I been able to get the lugs off.

I just had a very offensive chain of emails with AP Bands. Wow.

jaybo,

my straps arrived today. they came all jumbled up in a fedex envelope. I wasn't too impressed since donerix sent his all nicely packaged in individual cases. But oh well, appearances dun matter that much as long as the straps are well made

thankfully for me they fit my 47th street with no issues, I really like the colour combo

however, i noted a loose thread on one of my strap ends near the watch. I took some photos and sent them to adam, requesting an exchange since I did like the strap very much. I also mentioned that the other straps were great and had no thread issues

then came the reply from Adam: " yes i can see why, you are putting too much strain on the straps. That is why the stitching came out."

:arghh:

you guys can see for yourself if this is an iatrogenic cause. the loose thread is sticking out at the watch end. And this is not the first time I am mounting AP straps. I have mounted gens for freakings sake!

Well, he offered to repair it if I was to send it back. Ok that sounds good to me since it is a manufacturing problem in the first place.

I then sent another email asking how long he reckoned it would take. (C'mon, thats a fair question. A simple 2 weeks would suffice so that i would have some idea of the time frame. I don;t need it in a hurry but at least be polite!)

I got a curt reply: "it will be fixed asap and shipped back asap"

well so much for being polite to your customers and it wasn;t as if I bought a $50 strap, I bloody hell spent almost 1k on straps and buckles! the least you could do was to acknowledge a problem and not blame your customer for it. If your strap threads would unravel with pressure, then they are not very well made arent; they?

How come communication is like crap AFTER you've spent the money?:gotgoat:

oh well, maybe this is a one off and I am just unlucky to get off on the wrong footing with adam but he sure as hell was super nice when I was telling him I wanted to buy 5 straps ....:thud:

I do like the AP bands straps very much but I really hope the customer service will improve.

I hope you managed to sort out your problems with the fitment Jaybo

Looks like he's had quite a few complain, mines on the way back to him. Not sure if I like the colour of the strap on your 57th(I'm assuming 47th was a typo) but if your happy who cares what I think.

i have bad taste! :cheese:

hahahaha....

I'm ordering a miglio strap next to try the fitment! I should go for black and rose gold threads then! :D:

I've ordered three straps from AP Bands and each time they have come double boxed in their own packages. I've never seen them just toss straps in an envelope and send. Lol. That's horrible.

OK i got screwed then... is it because I ordered them during the memorial day sale? so "sale items" are thrown in a fedex envelop? :hehehe:

Sorry jaybo to hijack your thread once again. I emailed back regarding the boxes and I'm getting rather angry with AP bands' Adam. From the customer service perspective,

He now says that since I only paid for USPS shipping overseas, I don't get watch boxes.

True? If so, u guys better not select USPS.

And he was being extremely rude.
"If this is where we are going with this send everything back and I will cancel and refund. its up to you. "

I'll bet if I did that and I so want to do that, he would screw me over by giving me a partial refund even though the rest of the straps are unmounted.

Why can't some people be polite?

so there you go, this pretty much confirms my sucky AP bands experience.

Interesting attitude. That's the kind of crap that makes me hulk smash. You should send everything back to him and tell him to eat a large veiny penis.

Agreed. These straps are not cheap, its not too much to ask for some service. Its only migliore, HK, and serge for my ap straps.

LOL! i want to send everything back my friend, but given this type of crap ass attitude (and it started off with a loose thread on a now infamous ugly strap n watch combo :hehehe:), he will def screw me over . i don't trust that he will even give me a proper refund if he blames me for a straps manufacturing issues

did you always have yours Fedex-ed BMW?
