How small the watches look when they arrive after looking at GIANT pics of the dials in the M2M section, Any flaws that are pointed out in pics are barely if at all visible from a few inches away when the real thing comes. I can hardly read the print on some of them.

It depends on the watch, but yeah, I know what you mean.

Old post, but interesting.. I’m currently in the process of buying my first rep watch, and it’s incredible how much time you can spend looking at the QC photos you receive. I think a lot of us forget, and that's why, it’s important to remember that the watch on your wrist will look completely different, and, as many have pointed out, most of the small details you see on the picture won’t even be noticeable in real life.

Making pictures is as difficult as that. Can’t seem to make one without huge amounts of dust, fingers, hairs etc.
But the watch in real, is flawless unworn and stunning.
maybe a filter can solve it?

Now you know how the TD's feel when people dissect a watch where the rehaut is out .001mm to the left, marker off by .02% right etc but there is no way in hell it would be noticed in hand.

Everything gets noticed and can't be hidden when you magnify your pics by 10, 20 or 30 X.

Check! And if you are almost 60, you can barely read the date anymore so why bother

Hey hey hey hey @Ruj. be nice on the age thing lol... I can barely even see my hands so the date function nowadays is just for style now ..

Also I'm on the low end of the 50's for the record..

Yup I remember analyzing the heck out of the QC pics. When the watch arrived I could barely see the letters

I have two exactly the same watches. One rep and one genuine. The only way to keep them apart is by a tiny scratch on the clasp of the gen.

Well, you've been here eons longer than I have, and I was the same as you until recently, then over the past few months it just clicked and now I can spot the differences a mile off

Obviously I spend way too much time here
