Anyone heard of UB(F)factory?

Hi guys,
really interesting thread I wanna give my contribution.

I start saying UBF OP are now a very smart choice being affordable and having relatively little flaws.
This is true especially if compared to ARF that’s 200 USD more and still has some defects (I’m speaking about 114300).

The only thing to do is deciding with flaw we can live with.
With 114300 we have to choose between incorrect shape of markers on grey/grape/blue ones (squared angles, not 45°) but nothing else noteworthy.

Or we can have great markers with the right shape on white/black

but incorrect lume color (blue and not green)

114200 in green/grape/champagne seems to be flawless:
- right markers
- right lume color (green)
The only thing here is the size that being only 34 mm is not for all.

Created my account just to say hi and make the purchase for Olive.. Apart from little flaws, Ive heard about the crown being too high + olive dial is definitely differentiable from Gens.

Very nice watch, don’t forget to post some pics once it’s in your hands.
Not very common as far as I know so no chance to compare it sbs with a gen very often.
I mean don’t overthink about crown and color that will seem gen to 99,99% of people.

IMO

UBF:
- more reliable movement
- better markers
- correct lume on rhodium/grape/blue
- lower price

GMF
- 904L

To me the winner is UBF

I have a look on UBF and compare the HQ pictures with GMF. But is the difference to 904L visible? I don’t know about the difference.

To me not at all.
I’ve handled gen 904 and rep 316 side by side without seeing any difference.
But could be my eyes..
Many says you can see difference only through chemicals tests.
Someone else claims 904 is a tiny bit more shining.
For me it’s not worth the money.

Ordered with Supermirror - had already a successful order there.

For me: Grey > Grape > White (of course I like blue at the most). The Grey seems just "timeless" and has an absolute elegant design. If there would be no blue I would be go for Grey

But hey: just order both and you don't have this issue!

I think is really well made.
All writings are good (font and spacing), excellent markers and green lume as per gen.

Basing on the pics I’ve seen compared to Rolex website or things like this the green is lightly darker then gen.
But no one will never notice this unless is going to make a sbs comparison.

Not only the dial is good. The whole watch INMO is very well made.

To me the only flaw is the case size being too small for both my taste and wirst.

Only preference!
I’ve owned a 2008 gen Air King that was 34 mm and sold it after 3 months...
Way to small for me.
