Any interest in VR3186 movements?

There are two VR GMT movements bro but the first one RWI decided to call the VR3185 to differentiate it from the SH3186.

The newer one appears to be no different at all except for the fake deco free sprung balance arm, which required that the real adjustment arms be moved to the other side of the balance assembly.

Both of these movements are currently still available and can be used with confidence as the best rep GMT movements. The earlier model will likely be discontinued soon as stocks are depleted.

It’s sure nice having all this great info, Kj.

An idea I have is to convert a vs3135 to a 3185/86 possibly with gen or VR parts. Have you any experience doing this?

No, never tried that bro. It sounds good on paper, haha.

Though recently the notion to combine a DJ41 VR3235 with the next-gen VR3186 came up in another thread. The objective there was to make a better GMT movement for the EXP42 (216570).
