A mod I’ve been wanting to do ever since the moonswatch came out. I got a couple DHgate Moonswatches to play with. The cases were horrible…. But the dials were surprisingly nice!

Got a pagani design speedmaster v5 and took some measurements and modeled and 3d printed a custom PE50 movement ring….. and presto a pretty fun and sweet mod IMHO. 😁

May pickup another case and make a second one for the Mercury version as well.

Nice one, with the STL file! I have 2 question tho, does the DHgate moonwatches came with a PE50 movement or you bought it somewhere else ? How do I find the metal crown stem ?
Thanks

I can do that but it's easier to just get the raw file so I don't have to have the software recognize individual features. I could also recreate it manually again, the raw file saves time.

How far off could it be? Does the movement even fit in the case? I adjusted mine with an xacto knife. Thanks for the file OP worked great.

Good news everyone! I imported the .STL into Solidworks with feature recognition and well... I made the relevant changes for my case and made some other changes, like making the stem removal button easier to hit, beveling the battery area, and also added an up arrow (to indicate up, duh!) and a "C" to designate this as my variation of the design. If you'd like to print it, it can be found here:

I am also planning on making a batch of these for those interested who don't have 3d printers. I have a few old rolls of filament and these prints are like 1.5g each, so I can make plenty of these for $0.03 and would get rid of them for cost of shipping ($5 CONUS) to those who want to do this build. But would like to gauge interest so if you are interested, please let me know in the thread so I can create a M2M listing in the sales section to get these out to those who need. Here's some shots!

Relevant case used in this mod is:

Only other thing you need to complete the mod is replacement watch stem if yours was short like mine (I suspect broken as my replacement stems are longer!)

Thanks brother. I am interested.
$5 + price of a friendship beer 😁🍻😁
At this time only doing CONUS because USPS is fixed rate all across the US (even Hawaii and Alaska!), but if you DM me your country I can let you know what it might be to get it over there. Or if you've got a library locally with a 3d printer, you've got the files above and it takes like 17 minutes to print at 30% infill, 2 shells on my slower printer. You can print this over a coffee!

I thought that there was a special rate from US to EU ( I am in France)

I just checked. It's prohibitive 😅
Thanks for the file, I will manage this locally then. Still keen to offer you a friendship beer nonetheless when I get to this build 😁

It's about ~$16 to get one of these across the pond. IF there are more interested parties in the EU, I can ship you like 20 of these for the same price, you can distribute locally, and that could probably make it worthwhile! There just has to be interest in that area!
