I enjoyed following this thread - OP, being a non-VIP and against odds of the hive-mind was right about his concerns. This is swell :)

You mean, it was originally thought the dial was defective? When it may actually be this? :

It's not a find, it's just what happens when a circular pattern is photographed at a pixel resolution below a certain threshold.

We'll surely find out when he receives it.

Anyway, back to the subject at hand, boys: Archieluxury.

His voice is like a cat being gutted but I have to hand it to him, he doesn't mince words and play nice the way most of the spoon-fed drivel-meisters like Ariel Adams and the Hodinkee people do. He says whatever he's thinking, with a lot of swearing, and it's refreshing. Also, he's a working class schlub with the same obsessions as you guys, but the desire to own the real deal and it drives him to bankruptcy.

Anyway to add a further sticky coat of gentility to proceedings, now he's shilling porn on another youtube channel. Check it out, he has an exclusive deal with a mamasan at a Bangkok brothel.

Hey guys, while it's nice you're all drinking OPs kool aid, i'd just like to post this pic for reference:

This is Klockis's GEN, I just lowered the resolution of the picture. Rest easy, OP, all is likely well with your watch and this appears to be just an example of groupthink.

Well done sir!

Beware 15400 angus

Yesterday the verdict arrived.

I have 20/15 vision and someone said you wouldn't be able to tell. They are right. However the dial.....is circular, Cicero is right about low resolution photography. The photo above May be a victim of the same, but I am able to look very closely and see the details with my own eyes. Perfect. Beyond perfect. I guess the beware is now a warning that this watch is really too amazing. Moments before I pulled the trigger I drove to a local dealership and looked at the watch first hand. This is so close, so so so close that I don't think a v3 would be needed. The bracelet is. It as flexible but not as flexible by much. Not enough to want any changes.

Now a little surprise. The date wheel. The date wheel has pancaked fine numbers. Pretty well aligned. I was expecting a thick snuffy looking date wheel.

Overall the happiness I have is indescribable. The watch even has different serial numbers.

I'm getting one in black for sure. 444$ from sead, a little patience in communication is needed as patience for QC but he makes up or it with fast delivery and premium quality. He also said if there is any problem he would work closely to resolve it. Sead is a TD for a good reason.

So anyone getting one and sees what I saw, assume it's low resolution camera imaging just as Cicero said.

And if you like these reps. You should get one ASAP. I think these are like the EXP II and will go fast because of their awesome quality.

I should mention when I ordered my only request was a good fit on the bracelet slots, sead said "I haven't seen a good fit yet" but mine.....pretty effin nice. Really effin nice.

Glad to see it all worked out.
I read every post in this thread... probably because I just accepted the QC pics of a Black Dial 15400 from PT; despite what looks like a little overspray of the lume on an hour marker.

Thanks for posting the photos, it's always nice to see what a real photo of a rep looks like. If these kinds of photos were used on the dealer's webpages, their sales would increase dramatically (speculating).

Ap logo looks crooked but its probably not noticeable to you. Details caused by sloppy work irk the hell out of me especially when cheaper watches don't have such obvious issues.

For all you haters......
A 450 rep should NOT have this problem

this made my night.

I say go gen.

I do feel for OP though... hope it all works out, there will always be ups and downs to buying reps.

It did work out. Read this later post of his, the illusory error was caused by photo compression artifacts:

Really the OP should edit the title of the thread to show: FIXED!

I have the Angus version, blue dial, and it's very good indeed.

I have a couple of genuine, albeit 1980s APs. One has been worn virtually every day, and the other one, 750 gold is a bit flashy and has only been worn rarely. The only real cosmetic difference I can see (my gens have closed backs) is that the bracelet links on the new Angus show light between them like my worn gen, but the pretty virgin gen has such close tolerances on the links that no gaps are visible. Of course even on the rep, the gaps are only visible looking at light through the bracelet, not when it's being worn.

Yes you can, if not I will change it for you

Hmmmm what would you suggest??? Maybe I can rewrite the post? An just delete the entire thing? I would first wanna save Cicero's photos and maybe say 1. This rep rules, 2. Don't let QC be deceiving. And show why?

You rock thank you, I'm on tapatalk and couldn't figure out how to edit the title. And I want to keep the thread I just hope people read and see that it is a low resolution camera problem and that I am beyond happy with this rep.

Thank you sharrkey!
