This is probably going to be a long one but it needs to be said and shared…..

About a week ago I posted a WTB thread looking for some AP strap screws which were unfortunately stripped on one of my
Divers, I had been swapping them out from other models to be able to wear….

Screws for AP 42mm offshore

Looking to buy screws (2 piece set) which attach rubber/leather straps to lugs on 42mm offshore models:) Example below…..

Within a day of posting member @j21 reached out and said “I have them and am happy to send to you” I asked him how much and he said he didn’t want payment, just wanted to help out a fellow member……after a couple of back and forth conversations I agreed and he sent out package and gave me a tracking number, happy days…..

Well today I received package from the post office and was completely shocked with the contents……

This is what he sent me…..

I immediately contacted him as I was confused and shocked and he said “for spare parts” and “he was happy to help”.

Just the gesture and kind act he has committed is truly remarkable and he has a friend for life……

You're probably using the wrong screwdrivers, hope you're not using a Philips, as they tend to mangle all screws, see what I did there, am recovered from the allergies and back with a bang

This is the ethos of RWI. The amount of times this has happened here is astounding. From members lending out their watches that someone else wanted to try them out before buying them, parts being given away, to someone giving one of their watches away to someone who's same watch was their favorite and was either lost or stolen. I've been "victim" to these instances (while being a mod and before) from time to time and all one can do is pay it forward. We tend to focus a lot on the "negative" side of our world of reps, but that negative side is at best, 10% of a community.

I love this place, and I love the membership, I really do.

Good on you both, I hope your friendship continues.
