I think, i have to put some history in here for all the Rolex HATERS, wearing Panerai.

The original Panerai design and the case shape wich is the base of all PAMs since 1936 is designed by Rolex, started with a order by the nautic instruments producer Guiseppe Panerai for the italian marines in 1935.

Until 1956 ALL PAM watches where 100% Rolex, branded Panerai.

So you are wearing a watch that was designed and defined by ROLEX, dummy!

I'm the same, never been a fan of Rolex, always thiught people bought them as they were the most recognised expensive brand, always owned and loved U-boat and Panerai a mixture of gen and reps.
That all being said recently I have found myself drawn to the Pro Hunter range, probably because of the more military looking black dlc, particullaly the submariner, it seems to have a better look than the regular shiny ss or ss/yg Rolex, so much so that I'm just about to order one.
So am I a changed man, we'll see, time will tell.

I don't know if I'm the only one but...

I think Rolex watches are ugly. I mean, i've tried to like them but ..there's nothing I can do .. I still find them very very very ugly. Is it the peace sign on the arrow? Is it the fact that they all look alike?

I'm a big fan of PAM, AP, IWC, U-BOAT, WELDER, B&R, HB and UN ...but there is no single Rolex that I would wear.

Perhaps I'm reading too much into your statement but, I think it speaks volumes. You say you think Rolex's are ugly. As opposed to what? Pretty? Do you want something pretty? I would agree there are prettier watches than Rolex. If I were too buy a watch for a woman, I would not choose Rolex. Cartier, Piaget, maybe but, not Rolex.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not suggesting that you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain. I'm not saying that. Or, that you step out of the shower when you have to pee. I'm not saying that either but, there is a certain big swinging dick quality about Rolex that I think may be at the heart of your objection to Rolex.
