Just got a Keepall 55 from Old Cobbler. It looks really nice. The stitching and alignment of everything is really good.
But it smells strong like plastic and the "leather" strap and parts feel like plastic too.
Is this normal? I did not have the gen in my hands yet.

Looks sick. Is it real fur? And how is the overall jacket compared to gen?
Also did you get the long or the short (bomberjacket) one?

Looks great mate, the gen has a strong smell as well though I wouldn't call it 'plastic' I wouldn't worry too much about it as the smell will fade. I want to order the 45 after CNY as a gym bag. The finish on the 'leather' looks slot like the gen however there is some question as to the actual material used. Maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in.

Yup real fur and also has wire to shape fur on hood (which can detach like gen as does the hood (it's waterproofed to boot so stacks up to what I've read about them.) Nobis don't sell in U.K. As far as I know, But checking against pics online I'd say they are backdoor gens - if I'd to pick fault I'd say fur isn't as bushy as pics online - but I'm very impressed with the down filling and quality of finish stitching etc. it's even got taped sympatex seams like gen - this is the bomber style "cartel" I may get the yatesey after cny
