When you say there are two sizes available but no large size - what is the largest that one can buy form AF right now?
The (gen) Tank Must comes in Small, Large and XL. The first two sizes are quartz while the XL has a mechanical movement and a datewheel.

I can't find the edit button so instead of editing my previous post, I have to write a new one:

AF have released the small and the large but not the XL.

Yeah I was hoping to know the dimensions of the watch we are referring to as "large" or the middle size of the three noted. I was assuming that would be the 33 x 25 size?

Yes, the size that Cartier calls "large" is 33.7 mm x 25.5 mm.

Ha yes that I get but what I’m asking is the one that AF is making and currently available via TD also that size…..
Yes. As previously stated, AF makes the two quartz versions, the one Cartier calls "small" and the one they call "large".

The XL, which had a mechanical movement and a date wheel is not being made by AF at this moment.

If you want the 33.7x25.5mm size, ask your TD for a Cartier Tank Must large, or ref WSTA0041

A little update on my order:

So I asked my TD about some white dots on the dial. I asked them to check if it was dust on the crystal.

Turns out it wasn't, so the TD decided to get me another watch. So waiting for QC again.

Here are the dots, it could be dust on the dial, but it could also be a problem with the printing, I don't know.
Anyway, they decided to change it before I could even mention that it could just be dust on the dial.

Looks a bad rep to me...

Only positive is the pinion is gen like compared to F1 & K11 as it sits flush with the hands but in reality this is not something anyone ever notices. The cabochon is still slightly the wrong shape, again not a huge deal as it's "close enough" but the dial printing looks to be inferior quality with flat text/numerals and even some bleeding in the 5 minute markers above 6 & 7 on the rail track. Not to mention the movement which is a $2 Chinese POS, in F1 & K11 the movement is genuine Swiss quartz.

Here are some photos of my F1, first one showing the 3D quality to the dial printing and second showing the movement....

Do you know something the more this thread has progressed the more i agree with you . In the past AF have made top quality Cartier replicas , this is not one of them . The hands and centre pinion are spot on , but the rest of the watch looks like the cheap replicas K11 used to knock out a few years back .The watch you have looks far superior in build quality and looking 'gen like' .However that sunken incorrect centre pinion on your watch would drive me mental .

It did me, initially... Then I just stopped noticing it. Once on the wrist it's invisible (y)
It could be possible to fit a genuine Cartier movement, they're available online for less than the price of the rep watch... That would make it pretty much perfect.

I was thinking about doing exactly that for some time now… are the dimensions of the movement the same?

Same diameter but mounting screw positions might be different... I think it's definitely possible but maybe not a drop in replacement.

Yeah, I was afraid of that… also don’t know about hands sizes…

Movements are about 250 on ebay. I mean, it would definitely cost way less then gen, but then again, vintage Must de Cartier Tanks in L size (modern S) can be had for 1200 dollars… if the franken project baloons in cost some more, I’m not sure if it makes sense.
