We have nothing against the US involvement in past wars, in fact we appreciate the support they gave us in defeating the Nazis, as it would have been very difficult without them. You seem to have completely missed the point.t185 said:it also quite clear that any mention of any US involvement in any of the past wars is still a very sore subject

The US Constitution is so open to interpretation that there are scholars that debate the position of a comma. Parts of it have been ignored as the country moves with the times (in particular the parts about free men as opposed to any others) and I'm not even allowed to show an interest in it because of a circumstance of birth?
"Not to be an ass, but you need to stick to your own country."
Thanks for that. Truly, such a supportive debating position.
Pugwash said:Do you know why no-one has brought that up? Because it's possibly the stupidest thing anyone could say on the whole debate. It's unrelated and insulting.
To explain how stupid it is..l.

The US actions in World War Two have nothing to do with the debate that was raised here.craytonic said:Man, good thing you took your statement about contributing to the debate to heart there.

DO NOT BUY A HAND GUN UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO KILL SOMEONE.
A handgun will be used against you if you don't use it first. A handgun IS NOT a deterrant.
As in the use of mace or pepper spray, it will not deter anyone that is intent on doing you harm. Use the pepper spray on the maniac and tnen throw it away and run as it will not deter someone who is intent on doing you harm.
Don't believe what you see in the movies as in "stick em up". The person wanting to do you harm will see the fear in your hesitation and stick the handgun up your ass and pull the trigger.

I do not think this is a "poor pugwash, everyone hates him" moment.
You put your neck on the block when you made a political statement in the first reply to a non-political thread. If you had confined yourself to comments about guns to buy (the topic) instead of the world according to pugwash (not the topic) no one would have said a word.
