Very engrossing read/look into your histrory with watches. I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for taking the time to put it together. My first watch was a Mickey Mouse watch as well...I still have it somewhere in a box packed away. I think I will spend some time looking for it, now.

What a fantastic post. I enjoyed it on soooo many levels. I am also envious of "many of your nice things" j/k

What camera did you use for these shorts? In addition to the subject matter they are very well done!

Thanks again

Except for the DSSD and silver Ladies DJ, all the pics were shot with just a Canon Powershot S400. They have some of the best color processors in the industry. Now I shoot with a Canon G9.

Great read, gio! Wish you best of luck and glad that you're back. That's quite a history you got there, it's like reading a member interview, but more detailed and passionate. Love the picts!

I guess there's lots of warm-hearted, sentimental, members here in RWI more than we know of. :D

You know, every so often, a post like this comes along and it reminds me exactly why I love this hobby and, more specifically, why I love RWI. Gio and I came around on the boards at about the same time, and I remember looking forward to his wrist shots and camera work. Gio's pics are some of the best on the boards, for my money. In fact, I actually bought a few watches based on some of Gio's pics and writeups. And I am sorry you had such a crappy 2008, man. For what it's worth, you were missed here on RWI. And I'm glad you're back. Looking forward to see even more from you in the future. And seriously, thanks for taking the (not insignificant) amount of time to write and post this. It's a great encapsulation of your time on RWI.

Thanks for that write up...after seeing the Zenith, I was hooked. After reading the rest, this post is probably one of the best I've seen all year.

Not to get too off topic...but do you have a link to how you modded your DSSD V5?

I am a noob, I am sure anyone can tell by my terminology and eagerness when it comes to getting my first piece. Being a noobie, I would like to put my 2 copper pieces out there.

Gio- I have read a few of your tutorials on various things and have enjoyed all of them. They are very informative and I hope to be able to use them on some upcomming pieces I am sure to purchase. I would also like to say that this piece was a pure joy to read. I hope that I am like you in a couple of years... able to look back on all my purchases (and maybe sells) and hopefully still owning a couple of my favorites.

It is folks like you that make this site so enjoyable to us new guys looking to get into the rep modding fun. You did a good job of thinking the Mods and Admin folks... but I want to make sure that you and other members that contribute are making this place great as well.
