Davidsen also released a Rolex 618 Type 1 movement and a Rolex 618 Homage Type.

The article at HF narrates the extreme detail involved in the development of this movements. Kudos to Davidsen who I must say is a true gentlemen with long years in the bizz. Now, let's see what Kilo will be working on based on this movements.

@kilowattore must be having a hard time choosing what vintage to make next. :)

David erwähnte mir gegenüber, dass (und das sind sehr aufregende Neuigkeiten) er damit beginnen wird, den heiligen Gral für viele Leute zusammenzustellen, die Panerai Pam 21

A Newbie question if I may. Does this beautiful and impressing movement only fit 47 mm cases or smaller as well? Thank you.

Raised from the depths 😁.

Never saw those Rolex bridges for 6497, but they look really nice.

I wonder if this movement ever made it into production ? @kilowattore

Davidsen had it for a couple of years before getting out of business. Recently some AliExpress seller had them, I bought a few for my personal projects. I think someone got the blue prints and had a factory produce more bridges.

River now sells a much improved version with finer finishing than DSN's.
Do you have a link or email? I used to order parts from him years ago, but since I stopped building I lost touch.

Sorry guys, memory played a trick on me. I bought the cases on Ali. I could source a few movements through an HF friend.
Currently River is selling them on his ebay store but his price is, well, let's say a bit steep...

I'm not sure how I missed this news from back in the day. I've still got a bunch of engraved molly bridges I haven't got around to fitting. I could've had one of these to stick in the parts drawer too.

In fact the River store reminds me of one of my project drawers with all my unassembled homageforum bits and pieces. Those were the days.
