Hello gents, I'm reposting this info from HF in case someone misses these news.

After several months of preparation and work, Davidsen is finally able to release a project many considered impossible: a modified 6497 with Rolex 618 shaped bridges.

This might sound easy to some, but trust me it is not.
A very well known HF member helped with the drawings needed to develop this project which involved re-designing and adapting the whole Rolex bridges design down to the smallest detail in order to make them fit with a completely different main plate design.

I won't go into further details and I won't post the drawings unless I am ok'd by the member who made them, I'll let the pics do the rest of the talking for now:

This is going to be a huge step forward in the vintage Panerai scene as it will allow to have correct looking movements at a fair price.

Now everybody get building! :)

That's a sweet looking movement,
Now I'm going to have to decide what case I'd like it in[emoji6]
Any idea of the pricing?

i dont understand, they turned a rep pam movement into a decorated rolex movement?

Sent from the RWI App

They turned an Asian 6497 movement into a Rolex movement from the '30s, same movement used in vintage 3646, 6154 and early 6152/1.
A gen 618 is in the 1500+ range nowadays, these movements will be sold for 220 USD. @Sparky28

Saw it on David's website on the day he posted. Strange that he didn't post it on any of the forums. It's a Godsend for anyone who's looking to do vintage builds but couldn't because of the prohibitive cost of the gen 618 movements.

This is a very economical and ingenious way to get the 618 look without buying a 618, or engraving the bridges of Cort 616 / Molnija, etc. which got rather expensive. Are there any plans to clone the Angelus 240?

Thanks for sharing. Really looks great. I've always wanted a 618 but could never justify the price...

Amazing work by RMC and DSN! Was following it on HF and was amazed! And the price can't be beat! I guess that's why RMC has gone a bit silent as for late lol

Hi guys, can someone tell me how to register in HF forum? I tried but I don't receive any confirmation email. Is there any other way?

That's something that you can ask in the General Discussion section, not here in the Panerai section. Some HF staff are members here.
