Thanks!
If I really did have to just pick one, it would be the TC. I'm getting closer and closer to installing a gen crystal and insert on the TC - at which point I'd most likely sell the rest. I say that, but even as I type the word "sell", I start to feel queasy...
Hi, nice collection ! I am curently looking for my first replica, wich is also going to be my first Kermit xD
So, if U decide to sell one, please contact me ! (like your BP )
Just have one question, I have searched "TC Kermit" in this forum in the hopes it points me to the right direction for a TD, but no luck. I have checked intime and purtime, they only sell ARF for the Kermit. Are you able to share which TD has the TC Kermit?
TC no longer exists - the TC reps haven't been available for several years. The now legendary maker "Thomas Caddell" (not their real name) has since moved on to other things (and another identity - but we apparently don't talk about that here). Anyway now you know the name, you can do your own background research, if it interests you.
If you can find an ARF Kermit, then sure, they're very good reps. Like all reps they have shortcomings - but like JF before it, the ARF 5-digit reps are so good only an obsessive nerd would ever be able to identify one as a rep.Are the ARFs an ok copy for the Kermit?
I can see the ARF Kermit on Puretime's website, so I am assuming it is available. Let me send them a quick message to confirm.
Thanks for these, appreciate it very much.
That's not how TD sites work. Everything stays visible on the storefront, often marked "in stock" - all of which is meaningless. They still show reps that haven't been available for 10 years.I can see the ARF Kermit on Puretime's website, so I am assuming it is available.
I only very briefly owned the VSF, and didn't have the CF at the time - so I'm not in a position to judge. But I don't recall thinking that the VSF was too dark, so my guess would be that the inserts of CF and VSF are close to each other if not identical - and both are very close to gen. I can't remember reading any opinions to the contrary. Clean's inserts have always been praised for their quality. What do you think of the new 126610LV? I mean, what factory do you prefer?
I own a VSF and colour of insert seems a little too dark and dull.
I saw you have a CF.
You're right. Just got an email back from Puretime and it is not available. Have yet a lot to learn about this hobby. I just ordered my first ever rep from them and currently waiting for QC pics. That's not how TD sites work. If you're interested in a watch, you need to contact the TD directly and ask whether they can source it. Which I see you plan to do... good luck! Although I don't think the ARF LV or LN is available any more, unfortunately. You can still get the BP LV tho - and they're very nice too - they have arguably the best rep 16610 dials (up there close to the TC KH dials).

Personally, I don't think the Cermit works that well as a design. The ceramic insert green lacks depth of colour, largely due to the reflectiveness of the ceramic material, and without the Hulk's vibrant green dial to lift it, it looks dull. So give me a Kermit any day.
