Starting to stack up a load of Tudor spares (e.g. dials) from my GEN projects... might piece something together :)

Who is doing the best 79090 hands these days?

Anyone alternatives for a 76100 lollipop hand set? https://www.vintagewatchmods.com/product-page/hand-set-lolipop-76100-vintage

And what do we think to these latest ETAs? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134686166954

I like the Mercedes hands from vintage watch mods, they look very good but pricey!

Rafflestime is also very accurate except for the seconds hand.

Love the eta's with the KIF shock. I wanted to buy one but they ship from Swiss so heavy import taxes to pay i guess.

Vintage Watch Mods do seem to do some good stuff but they have more on their ebay than the website, at a higher price too. I need to email them!

Good point on tax, on both the movement and the VWM parts... but they do look good!

If you went with Rafflestime for the hour and minute, who would you go with for the seconds?

You can sand the tip so that it is more tapered, difficult but doable.

I got lucky and found a TC 2678 hand set in my watch parts.
Hour and minute hands are not usable because it is a lady size movement but with a reamer i Managed to use the seconds hand.

So next time i have to find a good seconds hand somewhere else.😉

Now you have sent me down a rabbit hole... never thought to look on AliX! Usually takes me an hour to find what I want on there...

That is stunning!

Is it this insert? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234632342714 well, insert only? It's lovely! May get the navy blue for my Snowflake!

How was the bezel direct from BV? We've had a few complaints on the forum!
The ghost bezel insert is from that link. The bezel insert from bv fell out of the bezel and I could not get it to refit which was odd. Also I needed to order a new friction ring because the one that came on it was rusted and would not allow the bezel to turn

This is my 79090 build. I use an milk case, tripdog did the reshape and assembly

Is this a gen bezel insert or dis that come with the case? A friend of mine is looking to do this exact build I spoke to BiVintage and can get the case dial and hands and I already have a gen eta 2824-2 movement. I just saw pics that BV sent me and the bezel insert doesn’t look that good was hoping to get a gen insert, I can’t seem to find any 79090 inserts, so I’m wondering if a different insert would fit? Any help is greatly appreciated

Any Rolex 5513/1665/1680 insert works. Pick up a GEN service 5513 for <$200 and you're good to go! Cheaper than a CAC to be GEN but, ok, no fancy fonts. Whilst you can find Tudor specific listed inserts, black ones are listed as Rolex 99% of the time as I guess people think they're worth more that way.

e.g. (slightly overpriced for me, make an offer?): https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/167233910713

Alternatively, have a poke around Lob Time (https://lobtime.com/home) at the more budget friendly end or Crown Art Customs (https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_ssn=oldwatchparts&store_name=oldwatchparts&_oac=1&_sop=10) at the other end of the spectrum.
