I found this video, very recent, is it a new SW dial version? It doesn't look bad, maybe as always too much sunburst, but less total blue.

What do you think?

Buff teal vs SW (date 1)

EDIT: My mistake, 1st pic is 3KF vs SW

On your first photo with the 3KF on the left, was the big first link issue already fixed on this version with unboxed dial?

I'm 99% confident that the left watch on pics 2+ with Buff teal dial is with stock 3KF hands, and the right watch with SW dial is with Buff hands. 3KF hands look purple in comparison to greener lume, the Buff hands are very very green, and SW hands are most white. Buff dial lume is greener than SW which is greener than 3KF, but less green than Buff hands.

I tried the SW dial and I dislike it. It lacks green, has too much purple, and too much sunburst. The Buff V3 dial has the least sunburst of all the aftermarket dials and is closest to gen IMO. Gens have mild sunburst. All images below show lume activated in sunlight with white balance equalized:

I don't like any of the combinations. SW dial and hands match the closest, with the markers being slightly greener than the hands, but I dislike the SW dial as mentioned above. I like my Buff V3 dial much better, but none of the hands match it. Buff hand lume is too strong and green and the other two hands are too white when matched with the V3 dial. I'm going to try to relume the Buff hands to better match the V3 dial. I know the gen hands are sometimes brighter than the markers but regardless it's not something I like. Buff hands are so bright and green they look like tritium in daylight.

Yep, I didn't see that green hue in the SW dial which I can see in my non-boxed gen dial. The green tint of Buff v3 is still stronger than my gen's though. In addition my gen has a blue tone which is missing from both Buff and SW. Buff v3 still wins for me nonetheless.

Any progress pics since this process got underway? Curious for reference photos of your SW dial—I'm deciding between BUFF and SW right now for my 5711 build.

Buy both dials having installed one of them and swap them if you like the other more. I think you can really decide between them only in person.

My watch has the SW dial, SW hands and SW datewheel. I like everything except for the datewheel, which is slightly off-center to the left. So, if I had to do it again, I'd go with SW dial (which is closes in real life in shading and sunburst to the gen pics I've seen online), SW hands, and keylog datewheel.

- Ppf base watch

- sw blue dial

- bevel the dial markers and WG plating

- engraved movement and hands

- relume hands

- Bevel hands and WG plating

- second hand pinion mod

- Refinish the bracelet

- Flexible endlinks

- keylog date disc and alignment

- movement service

- grease and waterproof test

Replace clasp with new style with micro adjustment

- Case works
1. New cavity for 324 movement
2. Recess and reshape the crown
3. Fix the bevel cutting
4. Trim down the thickness to 8.3
5. Fix the fat bezel
6. Fix the left ear
