Color looks very similar between the two. Overall I'm very happy with the color on my V3, there's a sufficient amount of green and grey in certain lighting conditions. SW markers seem to be less well finished? It doesn't seem to be dust on the images, more like microscratches that weren't polished out.

Thank you for the comparison pics. Which dial of the two do you like better? Which of the two looks more gen like? Which is better quality? Which one of all your dials is the most gen like in you opinion?
Sw seems to have a bit more sunburst and less green hue and bit more blue/ bit purple color (3rd pic) than buff v3?
Lume color seem identical, markers on sw/vvs more rounded (less quality?).

That was my opinion on the markers of the sw/vvs, too. The seem to be scatched and less, quality than buff v3...

Those should be fingerprint on the sw markers.
Just need a good clean.
Buff logo printing is weak. And the base of dial plate is just wrong. Anyone who have true knowledge of gen can tell.
Not all gen have strong green hub, even if they are both box dial. And gen never have fat markers that are rounded. All fat markers gen (mk3 usually ) have sharper makers.
Sw/vvs got the right size markers .
If you have them side by side , its a very easy decision IMO. I own all buff batchs and sw / vvs batch available .

SW dial hasn't got any purple color or hue in real life either (neither do Buff v1/3 and PPF v4 dials). If you can see that in pics then it's due to the color distortion of the camera or the display. SW does have green tint but much less than Buff v1/3. SW has more blue but not as much as PPF v4. SW blue is darker than PPF v4 blue. SW has a bit less sunburst than Buff v3. SW non fluorescent lume color is whiter than Buff v1/3. Here is another comparison pic of my watches and dials. From top to bottom and from left to right: Buff v1, PPF v4, PPF 5712 v1 - Buff v3, SW/VVS.

Thank you very much for the information!
Thats how pics can play tricks on me. Just seeing the pics I thought Buff v3 has less sunburst than sw/vvs.
So if someone decides for sw/vvs dial should one take sw hands to match the lume color of sw/vvs dial or gor for buff hands and relume them or reluming not necessary?
Which hands have better quality?

I haven't seen SW hands in person. Buff hands lume significantly differs from SW markers lume for sure.

It does look greener than a ZF 16202 though. Although both could use a bit more green to be more like gen. Note the massive difference in lume between Buff lume and 3KF hand lume. Anyway, getting too off thread topic, enough about the new Buff lol. Was originally going to wait until I swap in the other parts before posting in that thread.

Maybe i missed it, but what dial is in the 5711?

Sw hands are almost same as buff. But a little bit more green in normal light. Second hand is shorter then buff and gen. pinon hole is a little higher are rounded . Qc wise pretty much the same. Buff hands seems to be a bit better , but installing the second hand might be easier with sw, you dont need to enlarge the pinon tube

Do you have any comparison of SW datewheel vs 3kf or Buff? I got my Buff date in and yeah some of the dates are not aligned :(

Better off wait for new batch buff . Sw is aligned but the background color is pretty gray. It should be white as buff.

I am on trip now. Can take some shoot later .
5711 dial i do not sugguest buff anymore.
For BLUE get SW NEW or VVS, for GREEN get ODM . I also got pics of ODM vs buff which can upload later.
Basically buff is crap compare to those two.
Also warning the NEW buff datewheel batch. Its bullshit. the new factory printed the numbers not aligned, i mean like double digit dates the same date number is not aligned. And not all date align center. Its wrost then the sw dw. Ecen tho sw datewheel have wrong background color
Noob question here. I have no clue what Buff dial and SW dials means. I'm about to buy a ZF V3 Aquanaut but, having tried a gen, the dial is way to green. What should I do?

They're dials made by another factory. You can ask your dealer if they can source them and they may or may not be able to. You then need to either open up the watch and swap it yourself (not too hard, about $30 in tools and watching some Youtube videos), or send everything to a watchsmith/modder to get it done (that costs money and is usually a month+ wait).
