No sense, 324 movement does not have instant date change, some take longer than others but it’s rolling.Hello guys, is instant date mod Possible by this model, like by an AP 15400.
Thanks for your answer. Yes it is the V3 with the same hour work and clasp. Lume looks in some lights lighter but still a green glue.
If it has noticeable green hue it's not V3. V2 also fitted with new clasp. Heck you can even ask for V3 with old clasp for cheaper price. So don't mind the clasp. Thanks,I will check the dial. Could be I received one with the V3 hour work, clasp but V2 dial It was one of the first batches sold.If it has noticeable green hue it's not V3. I have both the V2 with old clasp and V3 with new clasp. TBH I feel like the new clasp is more or less the same as the old one in terms of quality. Maybe I'm just lucky to get a good one. Bear in mind reps usually have poorer quality control and consistency.Interesting post!
I have bought and received latest 5167 in steel and rose gold of 3KF from Steve (TOW) in the last month. I think there has been an evolution of the latest batches from comments on this chain, and you can note it from QCs posted on reptime over last few months if you spend time on that search. The dial on both my watches from 3KF (picture in below link) doesn't have any green lumes, both watches actually look great. The movement is the same 324 redecorated in a 330 style, but nothing different to the 5711 from 3kf a part from rotor and engraving. Check Patek's website to see what the 330 movement is like, and you will note that what 3KF calls 330 is just 324 with new rotor and engravings. There are other posts spotting this already.
For those liking the rose gold model, rest assured the strap on the rose gold is a nice chocolate dark brown, the difference vs black strap is more visible under sun light. Overall with the brown dial this watch is really nice. Having seen a rose gold gen, the ZF brown strap is way to light in color.
The CLASP: both came with the old style clasp which frankly is not that bad IMO! I read lots of bad notes on the new style 3KF clasp being too light, fragile, worse than ZF, so I think the old style clasp is solid and not bad at all. Based on Steve's video (see link below to vimeo) on the 3KF 5167, when you go at min 4 seconds 30 and listen what Steve says, the updated/new style clasp is in short supply and to be ordered separately from 3KF. I don't know the date of the video, but it is posted on TOW website under v3. So it seems you can still get the nice dial and no green lume version but the clasp will likely be the old clasp.

Same question on the 5167r. Wondering if sw dial, hands, date disc worth it?Great post!
Thanks.
You can def see that the lime now is white and not green as in the video you added the link.
Anybody here with knowledge on the SW dial how it compares to the latest version V3 3KF dial? Which one looks more gen?
Thinking about buying a new 3KF 5167A as mine has many scratches the case with wearing daily.
Thanks for your help.
Am I feeling it wrong that the GEN rubber strap is soft?Visually, the most apparent difference is indeed the strap. The small rectangle sections are more sharply angular in the 3KF. Can anyone post pix of the ZF strap that is supposed to be closer to gen? I would pay the upcharge to swap out the 3KF strap is it is softer and more gen like. I have handled the gen--it is quite satisfactoryBut not next to my 3KF. V3.
Also, can you discuss clasp differences?
Am I feeling it wrong that the GEN rubber strap is soft?
I did have the 3KF and nog only have the ZF strap. The 3KF is not good at all, you can see the whole look isn't right. Also the black color and material looks cheap. The ZF is okay. The small rectangle sections are indeed les edgy as 3KF but still far from gen. Did hold the ZF next to a gen strap. You can see the black is deeper black on the ZF than gen. Gen is a more softer black if this makes sense. You will only notice when you have them next to each other. If spending money I would say buy a gen strap.Am I feeling it wrong that the GEN rubber strap is soft?
Indeed some are too expensive online. I bought one at Chrono24 3 weeks ago from trusted dealer in Italy. After receiving the package the strap was nothing like what they posted on chgrono24. Gen strap with sealed PP plastic wrap. What I received was a very cheap transparant plastic wrap with a replica strap. Still telling me it was gen. I did send it back immediately after some checks. You also have to watch out or many scammers online. My modded 3k is a gem, but I cannot bring myself to purchase a gen strap at some of the prices I've seen. Last one I saw was $700.![]()
Thanks for the heads up. I am very sorry that happened to you. Chrono24 seems to have issue after issue. Best if you know someone with the gen PP who will get a striper you at a PP AD for you. Price now is € 400 at a PP AD.
rubber b also makes straps for the aquanaut. not in the look of the gen bracelet but probably better quality than all the china ware. maybe worth giving it a shot. Thanks for the heads up. I suppose it's not that I wouldn't spend the money for a gen strap, it's just that no one around me knows the difference and I am not trying to pass it off as a gen (not that you are). It's good enough for me,. If I get a gen rotor or some other parts, I may consider it. I actually just purchased a couple of straps from Sillian on AliBaba to have as a back up.
Rubber B has great straps and I bought the red one. Love it, despite it hasn't got the choco pattern, but to swap now and then with the black one is great. The O'Leary effect you could call itrubber b also makes straps for the aquanaut. not in the look of the gen bracelet but probably better quality than all the china ware. maybe worth giving it a shot.
