Just installed a 2500 genuine crystal into my Noob CR PO. I can confirm that the thickness of the Noob crystal is 1:1 to a genuine OLD style PO crystal! BP CR PO had much thicker crystal so genuine 2500 crystal sat too low on the case. I don't know how thick the new 8500 crystal is but hopefully not as thick as BP one. Noob crystal is already sitting a bit higher than in genuine watch so you cannot install a thicker crystal into it.
Hey sunny. Does the 2500 crystal have a coloured AR tint? I installed a gen 8500 crystal on my noob. It was 0.4mm thicker than the original noob crystal. I stuck the case on a lathe and took the crystal ledge down so the gen crystal is near flush with the bezel.

Newer 2500 crystals have the same AR as 8500 model. Older have bluish tint. I actually got one with bluish tint, just for the meantime I find a newer one with more colorless AR.
On genuine the crystal sits just a bit higher than the bezel. On Noob the edge is bit higher but not bad. But with 8500 crystal (as you confirmed already) you need to do something for the case to make it sit well.
So the end comment is that the Noob case is in this context worse than BP case, BP case has 1:1 crystal to a genuine 8500 model. On the other hand it is good to know that Noob takes old 2500 model crystal in (easier to find?) and you can also use your Noob crystal in UPO without any problems.

I have not checked other parts than the crystal...there are other guys frankening Noobs.
I have not seen a comparison of Noob rubber vs genuine rubber so here you go! Should not be difficult to see which is gen. I was pretty amazed how much they differ in the end...
The wedge end and curved end clasp are both gen omega designs. Don't know for sure but I think the wedge end is a newer design. My friends gen 2500 42mm on gen orange leather/ deployment clasp came on the curved end deployment. The 45 crpo I tried on at the shop was on the wedge end clasp. Both designs are omega gen though.

Ok, that's good to know! Overall the rep rubber is very good in quality, I think it attracts less dust than the genuine. Feel is 1:1, just the texture differs. Gen deployant is more solid than the rep, feels better.
Foggy crystal is a dealbreaker for me, has it improved since this review was written? Ive been wearing the LMPO daily since late 2013 and it is has a superb crystal.
I think not but for most of us the quality of the Noob crystal and AR is very sufficient. I had the gen and rep to compare and there is a difference, that would make me mad...but that is just my opinion.
Thanks for the answer. Am I wrong if I say that the LMPO is still the most accurate omega rep out there? do you know if there are a new omega rep from noob on the horizon?
