+1!Not many musicians or bands managed to set new standards, either technically or concept-wise.
Led Zeppelin were unquestionably one of those bands, solid musicians, becoming crossover hard rock pioneers and groundbreaking sound deliverers.
One of the best rock bands ever and certainly the engine of the 70's.
Always enjoy the updates.
Glad to hear Jimmy is going on the road.
I am reading Pete Townsend's memoir "Who I Am"
He writes that Jimmy Page tried to convince
John Entwistle and Keith Moon to join him and
Jeff Beck in his new band "Led Zepplin"
They actually recorded some tracks.
But we all know how it tuned out.
We are all better off with the 2 ultimate groups.
27 years later and still able to harness electric magic. Was a great way to sign off on there legacy.Just finished watching 'celebration day'.
OMFG......what a gig!!!!!! Awesome doesn't come anywhere close.
Plant has never sang better, Page never played better, the underestimated JPJ shone like a beacon and Jason, your dad must be proud!
Best gig I've heard and would have give both bollocks to have been there.
