found some additional pics of the "new" dial. Hands/Indicies lume looks much more consistent color but PP logo isn't centered verically... sigh.

Is there any way to fix the logo without needing to replace the dial?

The font kerning is wrong! The weight is wrong. The vertical centering is wrong. Even the box looks wonky. I'd probably buy it.
once you've seen it will certainly bother you, but it shouldn't be a dealbreaker as good options of dial are available from 3rd party suppliers...
Buff hands and dw are ready . Now just wait for a final product of buff dial. Then its good to go for this 5167

Buff released it's "new" dial but IMO it's worse. Look at the lume color difference between hour markers and numbers.
I once was intrigued with the possibility that a rep could be “perfect” but with some bit of ”therapy” (from @legend in particular), I‘ve come to enjoy the nuances of imperfection that come from the rep factories.
Who among us would have the balls (or capital) to mod a $250k watch for recreation? I like tweaking a watch that didn’t come from the “arc of the covenant”. I own quite a few of each and I think reps, warts and all, are a lot more fun than gen watches.

I've read this point of view ("a certain degree of imperfection should be accepted") and, although 100% true, I find it quite abused on this forum.
In particular I found this line too often used in many debates about new flaws.
As statd in my first line, it is 100% true that a rep could not be 100% like a genuine, but a forum like this exists to discuss if the rep is 10% like the Genuine or 90% like genuine (or is in the middle).
This "tollerance" multiplies when the 10-90% difference from gen, on a specific REP, could be spread among different parts of the watch (Dial, Case, hands, datewhell etc.).
Different people could be ok with different degrees of "gen-likeness" on different spots.
That said, i think that a 10-30% rep (one that could be spotted from 3 meters, without particular skills or knowledge) (the ones from DHGATES mostly) should not be the main topic in this kind of threads.
Buff costs a lot of money and offer a premium product that should be bought to ugrade a "stock" dial from 3KF and such...
flaws on these kind of dials should be discussed at the maximum level of details, since are the most expensive options before going Franken.
The same applies for "new versions" that are WAY WORSE than the previous on 7-800$ replicas.
Discussing flaws should not be mocked.
Users should be aware about issues to decide if they are ones they can live with.
going back to this topic, I own a 5167 3KF and love the shape of the case, the strap and the movement. I also love the dial, but the missmatching lume colour between hours markers and hands is something that woul be unacceptable on a 50€ swatch and makes the whole watch a DHgate level model.
Also, consider that to notice this you don't need a loupe or to be a Patek Expert.
The dial is in the 20% gen-looking field.
The date-font on the disk also is off, but:
You have to know the genuine font to notice.
The actual font is not bad (is just different)
You have to look at the watch from 40-50cm to notice.
The datewhell is in the 80% gen-looking field to me.
Also people talk trash about the strap, but after buying a gen one, I can see the difference is there, but minimal (on the V2 at least, the V1 stinked like a used tyre).

The quality of a $X rep should be on par with that of a $X-100 gen (any brands). $100 may be a premium for utilizing the brand name.

To have an Aquanaut quite similar to the Gen, the idea is to share the work between 3 or 4 factories :
1st factory should take care of the right color of the hands/ indicies lume look and the dial
2d factory to fix the logo : PP centering , kerning ...
3rd factory the datewhell ,date font on the disk ....
I think it can be done if there is good will

It is a brilliant idea as you just discovered specialization. Keep thinking and you may discover all contents in ECON 101.

I proceeded in the same way a few years ago to improve mobile phones (before smartphones). I changed components on motherboards and reprogramming eeproms etc... it's doable !
