Yep, thats it. The pin hole placement in the 3K case is correct, and if you use the mentioned size quality springbars with the gen strap, there is zero gap or difference from the Gen. I went trough about 20 ads on Chrono24, and checked from all angels. it sit perfectly

I got the spring bars from everest today and can confirm that on the gen strap. Use a thicker/larger diameter spring bar is the key.

I would never buy anything else then steel. Rep "gold" watches will never have the same weight as Gen, i cant live with that.

But the Blue dial just adds something. Fun to wear at weekends also.
How are the reps any way compared to the gens in terms of dial etc?

20/1.8mm spring bars from Everest (for Rolex) are the ones

1.8mm is the thickness stated on Everest's website. Some call it diameter. I would not go any larger though based on how they fit on mine straps.

Really appreciate this info. Just ordered a set of the Rolex spring bars myself. Possibly have any before or after pics just for my eyes curiosity?

Will also be pulling the trigger on a green khaki strap soon and will post pictures when it arrives on the watch with the new spring bars

I have some "before pictures" around page 243 in the which Patek your wearing thread

For after, at least for me, I want to say that the gap has been greatly reduced, but still not exactly like on the gen. Now due to the thick spring bar, the strap doesnt wiggle around the lug anymore, so the position of the strap is raised about the lug to achieve a really good alignment. However, the ghost is still not lining up with the lug perfectly.
