Agreed, competition is good for us : 3KF vs ZZF would be a nice duel, with ARF and Noob lurking and ready to jump in the fight.

You don’t start cloning moments with a small budget. That isn’t why they haven’t engraved it, engravings are a tiny expense compared to cloning a movement from scratch.

Repworld what are you on about. Cloning a Patek Phillipe movement requires having access to the movement (possibly multiple copies), skilled watch-smiths and movement specialists to replicate, the technology/resources even begin the process of creating prototypes, and then the budget to finally bring production. Where in all of the most basic of requirements does it sound like the producers of this movement have a "small budget"?

Don‘t get distracted by the completely different architecture of the 3K balance cock + different perlage finish on the base plate...

but yeah keep on talking about „100% same project V6F“...

Yeah I'm starting to get why everyone tells people to just ignore repworld. Is this guy blind or something?

Forgot that Tim has the largest wrist I’ve seen on these fora ! Thank you for the review I’m really tempted but what do you mean with lume being different ?

I feel that the lume is a little more intense than I remember in the Gen.

You can see how maker poor compare with ZF , Olso they borrow aquanaut old model! for replication, but still 3k aquanaut better choice at the moment , I can’t believe they have clone movement with borrowed watch , I hope ZF finish this job and movement supplier allow to sell it for another makers..

I cant see even with a lot of experience and a microscope how ZF or anyone else can make a better job of this.
If the movement is engraved , everyone will be saying "this movement is a time bomb".
Lume varies from model to model on Gens too, it is notoriously difficult to make consistent.

To make from an older model is in many ways an advantage.
Also we don't actually know if they borrowed or bought the gen and why do we care, so long as it is available for the required study.

Here's a few more photos which weren't ready yesterday

Look at the movement photo See the way the chatons are polished and the anglage on every plate edge The quality of the jewels and the accurate positioning We don't commonly see this in Rep movements Like the Noob 4130 I think this movement will prove very solid. I repeat I am so glad some idiot didn't take an engraving tool to it post production then pass nothing more than a cloth over it leaving metal everywhere it shouldn't be .
