305 is happening!!

i haven't heard or seen anything since 'update 1.'

i ordered a 292 along with the 305 and was sent the qc photos of the 292 last night...no 305

Well, here they are. Hopefully I'm not doing anything wrong by sharing these, as I've rejected the watch..

This has been my favorite Panerai since the gen was introduced. I've asked dozens of times over the year 'when is the rep coming?' 305, thats all I've been waiting for.

I also feel that most of the time, when we are told 'GEN IN HAND' it's simply not true... (Simply an opinion) And when I see a watch like this produced, with said Gen in hand, it only makes that opinion stronger. CG engraving is shallow and small, lever isn't flush, lume color is wrong everywhere, dial indices have very thick borders, bezel hatch marks are wrong, bezel dots are wrong.... It wasn't an impossible task, the new 243, 029, 187, etc etc are all good!

For me, it's all wrong. Decide for yourselves, I'm in no way trying to sway any opinions here, just offer mine.

On the bright side, I've asked to change my order to the 187G, which is Badass and with a nice hand job, even better!!

wow, quite disappointed with the QC pics that Croc received...

i think due to the upcoming CNY holidays, the factories are obliged to deliver the watches at the expense of the quality...

wow, indeed this is difficult. this will be my first rep and i want it to be a nice one. my qc pics appear the same as crocs. maybe these photos are doing the watch an injustice?

without having worn or seen a 305 i'm only going on photos online. i agree the CG engraving appears shallow not sure about smaller. the lever isn't perfectly flush, no. the lume color is tough to say due to photo/monitor/lighting variations. Dial indices do appear to have thicker borders, but sheesh, marginally. bezel hatch marks look fine to me, but the dots appear too high and are raised more than the photos i've seen of a gen. some of them also appear to have lume, but it's just the angle and reflection of being polished.

but what do i know...i'm a noob. i went off these:

crap! no 251k's in stock!?!?!

is it just me, the angle of the photo/watch, or does the 45 look crooked? it looks like it's rotated too far clockwise. this definitely needs a fix.

Perhaps it is an angle pic problem
The bezel is placed a little clockwise. When the bezel is in the center perhaps all will be OK
Ask the dealer for other pic with centered bezel

Illum need to be improve but that can be another day.
The Bezel is a little offset as in the picture above.

Post pictures... Perhaps a dental floss mod! I can walk you through that if you don't understand what I'm talking about.

As in increase the tightness of the bezel and the bezel can be in place?
