Seen it for $500
i know this one at ToroBravo- THB factory version. this has the right font for DW, but jeez that cartier font it looks like its been written straight from MS word with times new roman . attention to detail thats all we ask but they always rush it to realize their profits. which is acceptable businesswise :)

That pic does not look to me like the correct font. If you look up the gen dw, numbers are way thicker and more "serif". @etashazam can fit you with a correct dw that goes into the Miyota movement.

Jesus, 3 days to read this entire thread!

Looking to get a 35mm santos. I've narrowed it down to the BVF and V6F. Andrew at trustytime has already confirmed stock for the v6f version; I asked about this since I think they were raided before if I'm not mistaken and pieces turn up in small batches I guess. The main thing I'm debating is build quality. Which is built best, and which has the better bracelet...? I can live with the flaws that both factory present. One other thing, the v6f is on sale right now for $328 vs. $478 bvf. And if the bvf is the better built version, is it worth the price difference. Any input is appreciated.

BVF the best version around now? Looking to pull the trigger on a medium one as soon as I unload some old watches :D

I’m not sure.
But I went to see the 35mm “green” santos in gen. And it’s so dark!! Granted I was in a shop and not outside in natural sunlight, but the lighting in these places are geared towards making watch dials pop, and still on 90% of the angles it appeared a dark grey / black.
When I expressed my views to the retailer, she advised that a lot of people had come in and said the same.

Each to their own of course, but I was so disappointed, it was nothing like the internet pictures which appear like a sunburst green.

But rant over and to my point. The factories are going to have a hard time with this one. Do they model the dial on the internet photo, or do they follow the gen spec which is far darker?
I don't know how close the dial of BFV is to gen but it looks beautiful on the pics of this R-user.

I’m curious about the all black Santos model (black dial and black bezel). I’d go for the GF or BVF version. But i’m wondering what the material of the black bezel is made of. Is it just thinly coated on top of the stainless steel? Which is fine, i’m just worried it’ll chip off easily or get worn down after some time.

If it’s not too good i’ll just get the green dial one like above. That and the all black are my favorite. The green dial looks awesome with a green leather strap too.

Here is a picture of a gen Santos with green dial from a reddit user (unfortunately the reflecting distorts the appearance a bit). Gen green dial seems darker than the BFV version ... honsetly I like the green of BFV more :-D
The bezel of the gen version seems to have a completely different cut/shape compared to the BFV version, isn't it?

I'm leaving for Bangkok tomorrow. I'll probably spend some time lurking around the MBK Center in order to see the watches live and analyze BVF vs. V6. Not too sure of which model to go for yet.
Has anyone been able to identify which model is meant in the Super Rep list by:
Cartier Santos 100 V6F (Black Dial, Titanium Ultimate Swiss SW)
??
Thanks!

update from Bangkok after a visit to MBK CENTER. A lot of shops are pretty rude but two were rather nice. The Santos V6F is nowhere to be found in the entire mall. Found a lot of BVF though and some other factories I hadn’t heard of.
Price is roughly 420€ when negotiating just a bit for a medium Santos 35mm with blue dial.
I’ve gone for a 5726 PPF so far but might go back for a Santos. Still wondering.

which version is "better"?

BVF doesn’t make the all black one unfortunately. As for 3KF i’m not sure … I also wanted an all black PVD one but haven’t found any good option so far. If anyone knows please let me know 😊

Hello,
What rep do you consider better for santos medium, white dial. BVF? V6F? 3KF? GF?
Thanks

As I couldn't find a GF anywhere I ordered the BVF. On the TD's website it was named "V2". I'm planning on a little review in the next weeks but here are my first impressions:
  • The overall look of the watch is just stunning. The print is rich and looks very good.
  • The "floating R" is barely noticeable. If I didn't knew it exists, I would never notice. With my reading glasses I can just see it (or is it only in my mind?)
  • The watch is noisy. Part from the movement, part from the rattly bracelet.
  • The bracelet has sharp edges on the underside
  • The clasp is very stiff. Sometimes I can only close it with the buttons pressed
Despite the shortcomings I'm very satisfied with the watch. Let's see how it is in some weeks.

Which factory should I choose for a Santos (40mm) in white dial? I have the genuine and just want to compare it to whatever is best on the market atm :)

The one from BVF is the best version currently available. I have the grey dial WSSA0037 and the overall quality is excellent. Looking forward to gen vs rep comparison pictures when you get it ;).

do you have by any chance an idea how BVF performs with their full gold santos?
