Hold on. $500 for a watch that's been out for 6 years, has no complications, in a market flooded with DSSD reps going for about half the price?

Price hikes are getting out of control. multi-forum wide boycott on all rep purchases may be in order, or the only way to get the makers back to reality.

Agreed 1000%

The ring lock system wording under the crystal is still engrave instead printed on like the gen. This is a major flaw. The triangle base and pearl is a big big improvement over all previous version, almost gen. Font on bezel is too white. But not a big problem for modders. The lume looks fantastic.

If not for the engrave "Ring lock system , Original gas escape valve" , I would have bought it. Almost there but I will wait for a better version in future.

It honestly looks like noob factory wants to start an increase for price hikes. I am all for paying good money for a great rep"BUT" decorations on a movement that don't make the movement better is absurd! Make the movement better before you ask for more money. Just my 2cents.

This kind of detail doesn't bother me much. You need a loupe or to put your nose inside the watch to notice this flaw.

For me the biggest problem was the damn bezel. Now it's almost perfect. You only need the platinum mod. Number 4 is wrong but you need to be a real expert to notice it.

I don't like dial fonts at all in this new version. If I purchased I'd install my 6.1 dial but the markers.

I totally agree. I wonder if that would work, though? It would be interesting to learn how many unique individual members there are across the forums. If you figure we are all, more or less, registered on each of the forums that reduces the number of individuals considerably. Then, what percentage of overall purchases originate from forum members versus other sources? I bet we would put a dent in the overall number, but I suspect we don't represent as high a percentage of sales as we think.

I could be totally wrong, though, and either way these price increases for no reason other than to simply raise prices is ridiculous. This is a good reason to stick with the vintage world.

Guys lets not forget that some of our trusted dealers already offer some of these reps at the same price point. Take BK for example, his 6.1 DSSD is offered at +$500. Sure you get his dwo but the current noob dwo these days is arguably just as good. Yes you get a Swiss eta and his QC, but with guys like PT and intime you have the option of reviewing qc's yourself prior to shipping. These new super reps also come with phenomenal bracelets and superlume. Don't know about you guys but these new super reps look fairly reasonable in price. Yes expensive but your getting more for your money. No TD (including BK) offers a guaranteed perfectly aligned bezel, poorly ar'd cyclops, waterproofing or aligned rehaut either.

Dunno my 2 cents...

I'm no expert but I always thought the BK DSSD got too much praise.
I would take the new noob dssd over bk.

A couple of observations about the price complaints.

First of all, prices will vary according to the dealer who lists the watch. So i'm sure there will be some cheaper options than the price you folks are floating around.

The second issue I see behind the price hikes is the increased overhead by dealers like PT. Customers are now demanding 2, 3 and 4 rounds of macro qc pics. Time graph analysis and videos of watches. Not to mention multiple day observation of the watch before shipping. Puretime is one of the TD's catering to this. So how do you expect them to absorb this madness into their O&P without passing down some type of premium to the buyer ? It takes time and money to staff folks who will be providing you all these demands you have.

There should be an option for a lower price, and less work from the TD. Those of us that just want the watch shipped without the nonsense should have a break in pricing, while the nit pickers can continue to pay the higher costs associated with their demands. Seems fair to me, and it will address the issue of pricing.

Everyone wants concierge service, but at Walmart prices. Unfortunately this business is just like any other. There are costs associated with things.

It's just getting worse and worse with QC demands now days. You hit it spot on. Actions of a lot is costing a few who really accept what reps represent. If we are going to expect gen like quality and AD like service from TDs we better prepare ourselves to pay Gen like prices. 1:1 watch will cost you 1:1 money.

Im super excited about this one. Just a year and a half ago I sunk half a fortune into getting the old noob version modded on top of the base price. Relume, Trevor insert, bk dwo, waterproof, movement service, "pearl mod" and it still looked like dick compared to this. Just hoping the clone movement will hold up for a while. I couldn't care less for the decorations and wish I could've just bought the plain Asian clone but the excitement and time preference got the best of me

As far as the watch itself is concerned, I will buy it just for the case. I will gut it and use the case on my Franken DSSD. Looks like HEV position is better .
