One of them's definitely a MBW

I'm actually leaning towards watch A being the MBW, with the deep but conical rehaut.

Could B on the right side be the VIP?

Clearly none of these are Noobs, which have straighter but shallower rehaut.

I think my 16610s have had dials, hands and cases from both of these watches. (I've had VIP, noob and MBW).

i think watch b is the mbw.. not sure about watch a..

that's what i'm thinking.

Watch A looks more like my noobmariner cept for the Bezel pearl.

The embossing on my dad's gen Datejust clasp of the crown is much more closer to watch A, so i suspect that clasp is better. Watch A's mag is also pretty good while watch B's mag is too much.

i can't feel the watches, so i dont know which casing is better/more solid... nor do i know how smooth the movement runs or how the bezel clicks... but by looks alone, A's got a nicer touch.

Do you have comparison pics of profile? like which watch xstal is higher, which bezel is more close to gen, etc. (EDIT: dang that was fast! Only slight difference in the bezel, both lookin' good)

Tiem to do some mods!

Noobie from TTK... needs bezel pearl replacement. Less than steller date mag.:

Watch A has the Swiss Made also etched into the edge of the crystal at 6:00 like Josh's RLSS1001?

I copied this Gen TT from BK's 16610 Buying Guide Sticky to ask opinions about the number one in 1000ft.
BK being VERY well known here may even know the answer, but I noticed that the number one does not have a small / at the top. However most subs I see have the small /. My SS sub I picked up in Malaysia has the l000ft like the Gen TT from BK's post.

Which is correct, or are both correct? Maybe I'll start another thread on this topic.

could makes sense

The conical rehaut on A does resemble Andrew's ultimate (I have the LV form, check my posts)

But Andrew's ultimate does look very much like VIP, is there a chance that they are the same?

Boot, which came most recently, and what are you going to do about B? Consensus here seems to be that the rehaut / case is the most redeeming feature of B but with many other issues "to boot"

B= MBW

Rehaunt on A looks like a "wok" (as described by bk). Crystal not fully beveled. I agree that A is the VIP or Ultimate.

ok - i will throw in my vote -

A - Vipmariner
B - MBW

Best watch? -> combine the two.

too busy lately modding my mbw 16610's, late to the game
watch a is: vipmainer gen2 or josh's ($188) or ruby's or angus's or silix's or andrew's ultimate <= they are same watch. it's got the more conical rehaut (wok), cyclop/date window to the right, thin rehaut.

watch b is: ttk mbw 16610 which has the best rehaut, crystal height and bevel, thick bezel. True the dial isn't the best and the datewheel overlay is awful. it's a watch for modders.

you don't want to combine watch a and b. You want to combine a noobmariner and watch b.

@bk - I am sure that you are correct. You have a better eye for this.....

Is the Beginmariner from Joshua equivalent to a Noobmariner?

http://www.perfectclones88.com/rlss1000 ... -2311.html

same watch with a different movement. the beginmariner has a 28.8kph dg 2813 which is not a eta copy but rather a copy of some japanese movement. someone more familiar with movts pls chime in.

they are both correct although i have only seen the striate number one on tt and solid gold subs. i have never seen it on a ss sub. did you notice the s in submariner? some have that and sum have the normal s.

You are awesome. You've probably been around longer than your low post count suggests or you have even sharper eyes, a curse sometimes my friend :)
