Congratulations dude, that’s awesome. How does the bigger bracelet and clasp feel - does it still feel like a sub?

It definitely feels like a sub, but so much more balanced. At first going from my franken 114 to this was a little weird. I was bummed they discontinued the 114/116. Now I see how top heavy the other sub is. The clasp looked huge but now I see how everything really flows together, It really feels perfected. Honestly I’m blown away.

Usernametaken Awesome, wear it in good health! :plugintree:

So where are all the guys who complained about the "bad recess" of the VSF? :lol3:

The more I stare at it, it’s really incredible that they recessed them the tiniest amount. The tolerances on this watch are incredible, if vsf looks flush, it’s probably because the did a good job.

Yeah fair observation. I agree it’s not quite as good as the job they did on the previous generation of subs.

One note is that the light is coming from the RHS on the rep pic, with is causing a small (very small) shadow on the Right Sel making it look ever so slightly different.

Also, Isn’t it amazing that these are the kind of minuscule observations we need to make now in order to find ‘flaws’.

It is incredible what any of these companies do really. Far cry from my first rep 13 years ago that’s for sure.

Just received mine.

First impressions, its very good. Everything feels just like their previous 40mm sub.

Only complaint i have is there's a bit of play on the clasp. Other than that, feels solid and refined. I like it better than the hulk but that's just me.

How would you say this bracelet and clasp wear compared to the 116610? I'm itching for one of these but the bracelet/clasp is my biggest factor

It's not about just lug recess but fit and finish. Nothing to nitpick there, your watch looks fantastic. Vsf can't compare yet

Congrats. Looking great. Please share some natural light pics to see if the crystal may have AR on the underside, and to see the brushed finish on the case, bracelet and clasp better. Thanks :)

Looks super nice

Probably the angle of the photo. A shot on the wrist.

But seriously the amount of nitpicking here...are you guys posting this on Instagram and hash tagging #rolex or what.

The watch is fine, more than fine actually. The v2 will probably be even better but 3 months after its announced, I honestly think this is pretty good.

Just a small question mate, could you please comment on the fit and finish of the bracelet, especially the SEL's, there is a particular someone having issues on these parts but I genuinely couldn't get it, your insights would be much appreciated

I get people making reference to the SEL fit, maybe you’re seeing gaps or alignment issue. I am wondering about the continuing mention of “fit and finish” of the SEL in particular, in nearly every sub thread.

What is this all about? it’s finished (in this instance ‘brushed’) the same as the rest of the bracelet and presumably the same as the case. What is this fit and finish (in particular the finish) of the SEL fanaticism ??? What is so different on that one part of the bracelet from the rest of it in terms of finish.

That what even I don't get, however, there is a SEL "fit and finish" fanatic wimping over a variety of threads writing over and over about this and my eyes hurt to see such views again....and again. I know it's finished alright but having someone comment over this who has the watch in hand would settle this issue once and for all.

Does anyone think the gap on this VSF looks excessive between the case and the bezel? Is this common on all of them or is this one just a bit off?

Obviously the angle of the photo makes a big difference, but man that looks massive.

I think the term "fit and finish" is being used figuratively to mean "overall feeling of similarity to gen" rather than literally. Because literally, the fit and finish appears to be as good as it can be.

It's literally ONE member, who mentions it so continuously - in nearly every sub thread - that you could be forgiven for thinking that there is an entire continent of members who are unhappy with the 'fit and finish of the SEL'.

Nah man, read and analyse all of his comments, "the area between the lugs look cheap"- speaks volumes, I don't know now in which thread but these were the exact words.

Oh I see, Indeed, i had thought this was an issue of more than a few members.

I already explained my rationale regarding fit and finish. There is no uniform end link recession. It looks drunk. All four sides have different levels of recession. It looks off putting. I literally quoted a post by boss that explains this, the answer is there. Let's also not forget the bracelet looks wide and chunky and doesn't taper as well as gen. Also an eye sore. It's mathematically proven. It doesn't look sleek at all.

But if you're okay with those enjoy it? Not everyone has to like what you like. The only reason I come back here is cause you guys keep bringing me up as some mythical figure that has the audacity to besmirch the all wise vsf
