Yes correct did notice that one some photos from the factory. What now I'm wondering if date flips at 12:00 as per gen. From the photos it looks like date disk is interchangeable with gen but I'm only assuming this based on how the teeth looks on photo not based on diameter.

The date disc does not flip at 12 instantly for the 324 clone movement. The date starts changing at 2300hrs.

I remember an instant flip but I might be wrong because it's been 5 years since I sold the last 5711...

I have the 324 clone in hand right now, and date change starts at 2300hrs like I mentioned above. I hope that is helpful to you.

I'd like to know if the gen 324 SC had an instant flip at midnight as well, or did it come with the 330 SC replacement. Got to do more research.

The gen does not have an instant flip too, but my point is that the transition time of the "change" is a lot shorter, 5-10min in my watch.

Thanks for the information, is your movement the 324 SC or the replacement 330 SC? As far as I know the only difference between the two is the hack function.

Video of the date change. Transition time of under 10 minutes and instant flip at midnight.
Starts changing before slightly but then at midnight it's an instant flip. It's not a gradual change over an hour. Difficult to replicate that.

Yes this.

I think the ETA2824/2892 date spring can be adjusted to shorten the "transition time", but like I said, a 1hr date transition time is more in the ETA7750 (1.5hr) / Miyota 9015 (about 1hr) territory.

Thanks for letting me know. It was really bizzare to think that 3K would give up the exclusivity over the movement like that. Hope 3K release a nautilus soon or ZF and PPF catch up with a competing clone!
