I followed last night the postings on RWG and I do not understand MP here, we would call him a Scheiimer!

Anyhow, regarding PT:

I bought 35 watches from him and I still will buy from him! I do not care about the 15 USD more because of customs. I recommended PT to noobs and 3 out of 5 returned to me and told me that the quality they received was poor. One guy send me a picture of his SA and the hour hand had a hole in it! Since I told everybody that he is doing OC, I was questioned about that!

3 out of my last 5 buys had minor problems which my watchmaker was able to fix. Chrono resetting problem, missalignement of chrono second hand, etc. PT always helped me out in getting spare parts.

So all this said, I would buy from him again because I know him since over 2 years and I trust him but some people may have a QC problem with him!

That's interesting, guru. And knowing what a great supporter of PT you have always been, I appreciate you sharing that. I never had QC issues with him, but he did dick me around on a couple of transactions, one of which went on for a long time before he told me he couldn't get the watch. Then the refund took another few weeks. I think he's an asset to the community, especially for someone living in a country with high customs risks. But he could certainly raise his game (interesting that the ratings reflect that). And I've said it once before: his website is the most ridiculously over-engineered and user-unfriendly monstruosity I have seen in this game. But that's just me, of course...

PT deals from within the UK, which is not a country with high customs risks at all, some parts of mainland Europe maybe, the UK? No.....

:roll: Oh dear. Ok, let me explain this to you... Assume that you're in Switzerland, which is a high risk country. If you order from PT, you avoid customs risks because your watch will come from the UK, not China. Hence, PT is very good for buyers from certain countries with high customs risks.
