Pictures of actual new Black 116500 Noob V2.2 dial watches...
How's the movement when you wind the stem? Mine is really rough. Lots of clicking sound when I turn the crown to wind the watch. Its not smooth like my gen GMT.

Just to clarify the "V2.2 name ...again.

116500 V2.2 Dial is not an official name with the Factories or with the Dealers in China.
It is just a name started and used on this forum to easily and consistently label a new Updated dial.

I read in a FAQ by one of the TDs on this forum that the Factories determine if a watch is V1, V2, V3, etc...

In the case of the Noob Daytonas...

- In April 2018 the V1 Noob 116500 and 116520 with a 4130 Clone Movement started release with a 316L Stainless Steel Case.

- In August 2018 the Noob V2 116500 and 116520 replaced the 316L Case with a 904L SS Case and increased the price by $100.

- In February 2019 Noob updated the dials for the Ceramic Bezel 116500 Daytonas only. The 116520s are still unchanged.

The Noob Factory still calls the current 116500 and 116520 Daytonas V2. Most of the TDs are calling the new 116500s "V2 with an Updated Dial."
Some TDs (PureTime for example) don't seem to realize that the dials have changed, even though their QC pictures are clearly showing Updated Dials.

So if you go to a TD and ask for a V2.2 Noob Daytona, they won't know what you are talking about.

TDs apparently sell many different kinds of watches and don't have, or take the time, to focus on a single watch the way that some forum members might do.

Anyone has trouble changing ARF bezel into Noob watch ? Does it require any modification?

No mods required but it isn’t as forgiving as a steel bezel, so be careful otherwise you’ll snap it

If you have some experience doing this type of work and the correct tools, give it a try. If not send it to someone. Problem with this part is the TD’s are struggling to get the bezel now. Owner of Arf is pretty pissed everyone just wants their dial and bezel and buys a noob :-/

I have no experience working with watch. I might give it to watchsmith then.

I asked one TD about if Noob is currently working on the bezel or not, he said they have not heard about this and it would take them sometime to work on bezel because it is quite a big work so I am asking few TD's to source me a ARF Bezel atm too.

It would be bad if ARF stop selling the bezel now. :(

I've had my watch for a few weeks now and I hadn't noticed that issue. I just took it off my wrist to give it a wind, and yes I confirm that mine feels quite gritty too. It's not smooth like my Gen.

The pushers however are smooth like butter to press, however unwinding them feels a little looser than Gen.

I thought the screw down for the pushers seems alright to me. I don't have a gen to compare with but its alright. Plus pushing it down to operate the chrono feels really good. All the rep movement have this gritty feel when you try to wind the crown. It may be just the movement thing but sometimes its unnerving when I wind and feels like something will snap inside if I over do it.

I have a noob V2.2.

Feels nice and smooth to wind, very close to my gen sub.

I was at my local Rolex AD a few days ago. She brought out a 116509 and a 116519ln for me to try on, the pushers and winder felt as close to mine as you can get off memory and without having them side by side.
Why anyone would pay 50x more for these than a rep is beyond me. £28950 for a WG is daylight robbery IMO, especially as you loose a lump when you walk out of the door!

Re. ARF bezel acquisition only, I deal with Toro and he can usually get anyting but he is saying no chance.

Someone asked earlier in the thread about swimming in salt water with it, I can confirm that i have not been in the sea with mine. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has got theirs wet when showering etc?

To be fair, the gold itself is probably worth a few thousand - I think it's all relative. I like the feeling of the weight of WG and don't forget that without Rolex coming up with the Daytona design in the first place there'd be no rep available at the price you've paid... Just saying.

I agree the gold is worth a few thousand and yes it does feel nice and weighty on the wrist but I think the cost is disproportionate to the cost of the steel version. Hence why you can walk in and buy one without any history with the AD. You're absolutely correct it is all relative though.
