Newbie here.
3 days ago I ordered my first rep ever and got this pic from my dealer. Looks like the V2.2 to me. Would really appreciate an pro’s opinion on the SEL figment. Thanks in advance and apologies for a stupid question. Still learning

@M Scott
I took some pice for you in different light. I believe the size of the black V2.2 Subdials is ok and the color is 95 %. So the black 116500 is V2.2 is a very good rep ootb. No mods necessary. They have also corrected the gasket and no gasket mod to lower the crysatl is needed.

Here are some pics , if you want to mod them for you photoshop comparison, drop me a pm with your email.

Thanks guru, for taking these pictures and for posting them.
I hope that my comments below are accurate with what you are seeing when you compare the actual watches side by side.

In comparing the Gen 116500 to Noob, the Noob Sub-dials appear slightly larger than the Gen as shown before, but still much better than the old dial.

Comparing your Gen Dial 116520 to the new Noob 116500 below shows the Noob Sub-dials appearing slightly larger, also confirming what was shown before.

The White ARF 116500 Dial Sub-dials appear slightly smaller than Gen, also as was shown before.

It is a V2.2 Updated dial, but I am not an expert on SELs.

Here's some watch porn for anyone wondering whether they should go for it or not. I absolutely love the new noob v2.2. The chronograph feels just like my Gen it's unbelievable.

The only thing I'm unsure of is the SEL. I haven't heard too many complaints about this yet, but mines gappy AF and the end links don't seem to sit flush with the lugs.

Ill post some more shots in the sun around my island later this week.

By the way, has anyone attempted to swim in a salt water pool with one of these yet?

Looks great in the box.
Thanks that's a gen box from my 116518LN.

I bought it when I was in Bogota Colombia on a business trip.

The sales clerk put the box in a Bbq take it out bag and asked me to put the watch in my pocket. He asked me to take it back to the hotel and lock it up in the safe ASAP.

That was a funny memory.

Has anyone been able to see a LEC on the watch? I’ve looked around online and at various pictures but don’t think I’ve been able to see the LEC at all. (Noob)

It's hard to get a good picture of it. But if you hold the light on your phone at the angle of the crystal you can see it.

If you have an SLR lens, detached it from the camera body and point the sensor end of the lens on the crystal. You will see the LEC clearly at the 6 O'clock. I have checked my YM and its there. Its actually quite easy to do with the right equipment.

It's amazing how counterfeiters can copy every single piece of the Daytona. Someone here said the reason why the factory isn't going as far as making a 1:1 imitation was because then they wouldn't be able to sell V.2, V3 and so on. I think this is quite true. Factory normally buys a genuine rolex to copy. So they have the genuine parts right in front of them. The Noob daytona is really a masterpiece at a fraction of the cost.

Now why did Rolex went and limit productions. Then I wouldn't have to convince myself to go with a replica cos its so damn difficult to get a genuine one and even if I could, would I shell out $25k to get it? Its nice but I wouldn't go that far to pay that much for it. I already overpaid for my gen GMT and that was to an AD where I live. I know the AD personally and they would still charge a premium for the watch.
