Can the newly released XF V2 FC Diver 15706 be considered a super rep?

I have successfully put the parts together and glued the dial, but my manufacturing skills are weak and there is a small gap of 0.3 or 0.5mm existing on the side of the dial. I think it should be invisible when the dial is installed but I am not sure. I used AB glue since I could not easily find the UV glue.

Anyway, a 0.3-0.5 mm gap is not bad at all. I think at least it is better than ZF's assembly which would leave a 1 mm gap on a 2 mm thick dial.

Modified ETA 2846/2840> powermatic 80 (or other ETA C07.111)> ETA 2846>ETA 2836> A 2836 which is indeed a seagull ST2130.

All of the above are relatively stable and accurate except for the powermatic 80, which is also the most expensive.

I would not get an ETA 2836 except for the use of some of its parts in my 2846. ETA 2836 and A 2836 beat at 28800 while the gen beats at 21600. If you could get a good used 2846, preferably modified, that would be the best option. The second best choice would be the C07.111. I did not buy a C07.111 because it is very expensive and allegedly not very stable. I have access to a lot of used C07.111 from RADO and other brands like tissot, but I think they are pretty much overpriced.

I am in the Market for this Diver too and also need to make a decision on which Low Beat Movement to take.

First, do the Hands of the A2836 fit on a P80 or a ETA2846? Or - more generally - which Changes/Modifications do you need?

I thought the P80 is superior to the 2846 - What Modifications or which Parts do you recommend to replace in a 2846?

So, my Factory supplied V2 with a 2846 lasted all of 5 days. Not a major as I always intended to have it fully serviced or replaced.

Dear Chris9, is this pure back luck or bad news for all the 2846 owners like myself?

Not sure, rep movements can be a bit hit and miss. I read somewhere that the 2846 used were all old and a bit frail.

Good luck with yours.........

So the good news, it is a Swiss 2846 movement and it will be a simple fix.
However, have taken the opportunity to have a full service done on the movement.

Should have a reliable low beat diver without needing to upgrade the movement.

again, let me rephrase it, not the correct DW for XF v2 15706 so I'm not sure this is one.

I did not mean to say it is not like gen

photo of mine to compare the font

PS: I just noticed the brushed bezel. One reason more to reject imho

thanks. So 15706 should not come with the brushed bezel, is that correct? could it be just lighting, i.e. flash? See other picture below, on another picture it doesn't look so brushed?

bro, it's brushed no doubts about it in those photos

in gen it can be brushed or not depending on year and/or servicing

WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY IS THAT IS NOT A XF V2

Which TD did you use? You can put the name of your dealer here because he is trying to fool you. His photography skills are prettygood though.

Thanks a bunch guys. I hope he just made a mistake which can always happen. He is a very reputable TD and has like no bad reviews, so I’d rather not put his name here if that’s okay.

I will reject, and will ask for another round. Appreciate your help, I really do!

so I reached out to my TD, and he said that this is how the watch now comes from the XF factory and offered WU gift (I assume this is the same thing as refund?).

Does that make sense what he is saying? Should I accept refund and try a different TD?

Hey guys, I reached our to two other TDs and asked them for recent QC pics of 15706. Below are pics of two different 15706 from XF. Are they both wrong as well? I’m going to try one last TD and after that I’m not really sure what else to do. I guess maybe XF came up with an update.. don’t know.
