Agreed.

I got lambasted from a few members for saying its not an upgrade from my V6F and now I stick by this decision even more. I don't think the dial is at all far superior and now after all said and done its only .3mm thinner than the V6F? Couple that with the ridiculous off centered date window and I fail to see how this can command $480 to be honest.

ZF are a great factory (my JLC Moonphase is sublime) but their QC is atrocious. The should scale back and concentrate on more quality rather than trying to rep everything under the sun.

I couldn't agree more. The date is the biggest giveaway on this watch and the ZF screams fake. The thickness, no ones going to spot on the wrist. I don't care for the deco plates either, anyone who sees the back will know its a fake anyway. I'll slap a Patek service sticker on the back of the V6F, so it makes no odds to me. The clasp is much better on the ZF though, but even that doesn't line up perfectly. I know these are reps and they're never going to be perfect, but I was expecting better of this model after seeing their attempt at the JLC you mention, it's spot on.

My TD got back to me.

The date disc was not centered vertically, as it sat too high, so my TD rejected it for me.

Also, the watch is 9.1mm, not 8.8 as intime stated. My TD measured it and informed me. I wonder who's more accurate though.

Ohhhh what this why they lying?

His calipers are definitely 0.4mm off. I had bought an MK IWC Pilot Mark XVII from Tim which is a 1:1 super-rep supposed to be 11mm in thickness, I clearly remember his calipers measuring it as 11.4mm, I recall being surprised back then.

I believe puretime measured it 8.8 since the first description was 8.5 so he clarify it

The dial for me is ruined by that elongated line at 5. The pubes and stuff on the hands/dial can be removed I know, but it's incredibly sloppy considering this is a $480 rep. Multiple things have put me off this watch. I'll be waiting for the next maker to come along and rep this, I'll pick up a V6F again in the meantime.

The line over the edge of the 5 is not an issue. Ive seen Gen's with the exact same line therw.

What to the extent of the ZF? It’s a good millimetre longer than the opposite line at 7 and hangs out past the bottom of the 5. No genuine 5167 dial has that.

Here's my findings from going back through my QC pics. I'm going to go home tonight and measure the ones I still have. I sold my 5168 Aquanaut unfortunately.

Tim does measure a bit on the bigger side. I'm curious how it stacks up to my caliper at home.

Look at the gen dial to the top at the 11 / 1 marker the 1 marker has a "longer" extended line. EDIT: What i want to say with that is the Gen dial isnt 100% symmentrical Either on those 2 markers because the 11 is a larger number than the 1. so nobody probably knows about that issue )
