Thanks for the detailed summary there. As a person who enjoys DIY mods, the platinum paint mod is something that I am very keen on trying, largely because it is relatively cheap and easy. The V9 LV will be my first rep but I cannot quite justify spending hundreds on crystals and inserts (yet).

Oh and also, the one I had ordered is on a 2836 movement. I understand that if one is to go franken, it would be better to have a 3135 as the base right?

Well, That is true if you want too go all the way with a all real but case. If you plan on keeping your watch and don't care about the fact that the hand adjust opposite, no. Keep the 2824 one. You can still change everything on it but the movement and date wheel and you would have too cut the feet of the rolex dial.

The problem is that the Hulk is awesome, even a replica like the V9 (with flush solid end links). But wearing a V9 you live in fear of someone walking up to you with a genuine Hulk for comparison

Ive had Rolex's for a long time..and never had this happened...like ever.. I barely even have people notice what kind of watches I have on or get complemented...the only watch that someone actually had said..hey nice watch..was my Breitling Bentley...because it's 49 mm...you can't miss the dang thing..and I think they had mistaken it for Invicta brand...

The only people who notices..is yourself..and your wife..cause she hates you! haha

Guys I found a gen crystal with AR on one of the gen forums, however the seller is not 100% sure if it will fit the 116610. Can anybody confirm this fits? It comes with gaskets as well, he said that might be the issue.

Edit- Looks like this crystal fits a YM, which fits the Sub. But will the gasket work? I want to ensure it is waterproof, and will sit lower like gen.

Just talked to my TD, he had 2 more Sub V9 LNs left and then waiting for new stock.. same with Intime, he said maybe next week new stock or maybe new batch coming.. hope they come up with something better, I just need good SEL lolololol

Both crystal and gasket will fit but the crystal will sit a bit lower. I recommend you use the crystal with the rep gasket.

Hi after waiting over 2 weeks for QC PICS I’ve received these it’s suppose to be a v9 3135 please give your opinions on the quality of lugs datewheel height etc I don’t really no what I’m looking out for tbh just everything I’ve read but still don’t really no many thanks
