God I love how this looks.. I want to get it for my wife and she loves the way it looks, she is just scared of the whole rep thing since we got a Sub for her and then the 2836-2 stopped after 3 weeks that she wore only 3-4 times... But this piece looks just AMAZING so I think is a one way decision

You can always put a new genuine swiss eta in a watch and it will run for years.

Thanks. Yep that looks really good. Would be happy with that. Where would I get one of those please, I assume it's a rep?
Super glue has worked for now though. At least I can carry on wearing it.

RichRobby mate superglue will fail trust me. Flick it off again and use epoxy instead. ACC (superglue) only works properly on two perfectly mating surfaces such as machined steel or glass.

Thanks. Yes I guess you are right. Maybe a bit of Araldite. The main problem is actually the rectangle piece of metal that sits on the top of the clasp (with the hole for the crown emblem) came detached on the one side and bent up, hence the crown emblem falling off, and has a little crease in it now.

The TC 2824-2 Elabore (Made in USA) is everybit as good, if not better made than any 'Swiss' counter-part.

How do you know? For me its a glorified asían ETA, made in the USA. The TC Sub I got me had a problem in the keyless, it was replaced brand new (TC sold -not replaced for free- another "elabore" ETA from which the replacement keyless work came from) and now it's broken again and the crown is slipping.

Im sorry to hear about your bad luck but for most people TC watches work great and is very very good quality. Whenever you have anything that's assembled by hand, there will be mistakes occasionally but that doesn't take away that his watches are still head and shoulders above every other rep OTB of the same model

Is the keyless works spontaneously breaking or are you removing the stem from the watch?

I have three TC watches and the crown on two (LN & LV) broke within days so I had it replaced with a new Genuine crown and a WSO tube. Then prior to my YM getting here I bought a new genuine crown and WSO tube but the Yachtmaster crown is solid as a rock for me!
