The problem was he was spouting off to people that didn't bait him and the wrong people to spout off to at that. Do you really think TB or R2 baited him or that they deserved to be treated the way they were?

I agree, tempers flared but don't agree that all you defend didn't poke the bear a little. Re-read.
Heres a synopsis:

(silence)

"yeah Sam! I take it by your silence you bow down and kneel before us..."
And that's the short version of how the "bear got poked" and how some of it plays to me. Should Sam have reacted? No. Is he human? Yes.
any one of us here is capable of being poked on a bad day into lashing out.

Sam is one of the kindest guy on this forum(was). Big loss to the community.
I don't know how these people come up with theories. I wonder if it's the same guy? Do y'all think staff here is stupid that they would something like that slide?

That wasn't intended as witch hunt. Just a joke for taking it so personally to defend Chef.
I have nothing against Chef, never dealt with him, hence I did not comment on the post about him. From what I can read, it's mixed experience for everyone who knows chef. Some like yourself had great experiences. Some other were not so lucky.. on all rep forums.
But I do have opinion about Admin's decision to ban him. It's great that many members have enjoyed great service. But I personally could not tolerate even 5% of chance to get scammed.
If you know for a proven fact that a seller has tendency to scam out of blue, would you feel safe with your money?
Scammer who has not scammed you does not make him stand up guy.

im with you. And I can only speak for me.
Im surprised but must believe there is a mountain of evidence to support any allegations. My frustration is regarding how quickly it turned into revving up Sam in the process. He lost his cool, no doubt. We all do, but it almost felt like sport and I find that deplorable.
I know. I was talking about why some think banning chef was not necessary and start lashing out on Admin staff for doing it.
Exactly. I could of lost my mind on this dude when we were talking about Texas and such, but I realized oh wait, this is an internet forum that has no real bearing on real life (mostly) so I am not going to lose it and look like a dumbass and get banned
Yeah.. wish Sam hasn't reacted like that.. I think he was just having naughty fun in the end when he started calling everyone dauche, I was actually having a good laugh but ... some times enough is enough.
