Rolex Yachtmaster Rose Gold with Oysterflex - The unveiling!

Just arrived today! I have been anxiously awaiting for this Rolex Yachtmaster with the new Oysterflex band and it's finally here. This one has the Asian movement and overall, the case, side engraving and Oysterflex band seem nice. What surprised me is that unlike a few other Rolex reps I have purchased, the clasp feels lighter. It could be just the rubber band or just the model.

Important to note: The Oysterflex band has very limited size adjustment in the deployment clasp so you will want to ensure you have a size from a dealer before they send it. Mine is fairly tight and I've opened deployment clasp to the max. Rolex offers 6 actual sizes for the genuine model.

I do find that the rose gold does look pretty good I think on this model. Pictures simply do not do it justice unless you see it in person.

Definitely a step up from the previous version. I would get one if they came with RG bracelets, not a fan of the rubber.

One thing I do notice a bit on your last image though is smudging around the bezel numbers. I remember this was terrible on the last version. It's definitely not as bad on this one but there definitely still seems to be a little bit of smudging. Or is that just fingerprints/oil/dirt?

It seems to have improved, but it is still showing lightly in some areas. Then again, if anyone called you out for this, you could probably just say it's fingerprint grease or something along those lines.

I'm holding off on this one, but I think it is a great rep for such a recent release - I think it would look awesome on a RG bracelet

A RG bracelet would look sweet on this. As for the top left area of bezel, I've looked at it over pretty well and color is consistent throughout. Photo above was taken outside where sun was on right facing west so I think it is still the lighting and crystal glare creating it. I'll try to do a better pic. Overall, pleased with it especially being a fairly new rep release.

I think you would find it to be a nice addition to your collection. Has a nice overall look to it. I didn't have anything with gold or rose gold so this really adds to what I own.

Hello Milkbread. It was a nice surprise and glad I purchased one. As I shared above, the band that mine came with is the Oysterflex and apparently they come in different sizes. I don't have a large wrist so luckily I was able to adjust clasp to max and can wear it. This would certainly be something to consider before having one shipped.

On another note, the individual I purchased this watch from offered to switch out the Oysterflex to a rose gold bracelet if I wanted to send back, so that would be a option. You could check WBK and see if he could do the same before buying one, I don't know.

No, your eyes are fine and yes, it is stamped Steelinox. I had to hunt down through a lot of online pics for the gen to see if I could even capture a image of that part of the clasp. Not easy to find but did locate this one.

This image doesn't show the entire bottom part of clasp bracelet but does reflect enough to show Steelinox would not be there. So yes, that would be one of the tail tail signs. Glad you brought it up. Still for a rep, overall a nice one I think. Id be curious to know if the other reps have this as well on clasp.

No, band does not need to be cut and is a one size with very limited adjustability in the clasp. You would want to verify what size strap comes with the rep before ordering one. Rolex has several sizes for the gen. YM by the way.
